Hi Santina

Having checked both the Typebase and my Swami I can't find any reference to porcini (aka cep) mushrooms. Therefore, I assume that it hasn't been tested or rated. The general consensus on the forum (and I believe also stated by Dr D) is that unrated foods should be treated as neutral. Obviously, this comes with a health warning that you need to test the food in question with your particular system and notice if you have any adverse reactions from it. Even then, neutrals are not normally considered an everyday food.

Personally, I enjoy dried porcini's ocassionally with spelt pasta or in a risotto and have no problems at all with them. However I am a type O Hunter and we're all individuals.

I hope this helps.

All the best

Andy

in the meanwhile i've tried dried porcini with quinoa and i must say i enjoyed both so much.
it seems to me that i had no bad symptoms as such so...
anyway from time to time i'll pick them up again. ;D

Now, to porcini mushrooms ("little pigs" -- what a great name for them, that's just what they look like!) -- yes, they're not rated, but feel free to treat them as unknowns (neutrals in this case)... as long as they are wild, or not cultivated in questionable materials. In other words, as long as they're not being propagated in poisonous chemical-infused dung. Get me drift? I suspect they will turn out Neutral for everyone, when they're tested.
