BTD Forums  /  Eat Right 4 Your Type  /  Dadamo Vacation

Imagine Vacation for Dadamo participants and fellow travelers, in the location of your choice.
NOT an academic conference, but a learning vacation for those trying to implement D'Adamo's work practically.

How would you handle mealtimes?
What activities would be available?

I'm imagining things like "Beginning Kickboxing/ Spinning for Os", "Introduction to Yoga for As", "TaiChi for Bs";
Kitchen Practica such as: "How to Use Tofu" for As and ABs, "Ten Substitutes for White Potatoes" for Os et al, "Rabbit Prep" for Bs, "30-minute Dinner Prep for the 4-Type Family" for everyone...
Though I don't use SWAMI, I think a "Using SWAMI in Everyday Life" class would be very helpful, given the questions that arise so often on the Forum.
...and then the Four (4YT) Buffet Tables at mealtime, brimming with type-specific breakfasts, lunches, and dinners!

But then I come up with all sorts of other ideas...Somewhere with pool, tennis courts, hiking, gym............It's Your Fantasy! See if anything percolates in your own brains. :D

OK - I'll be the first to answer.

With so many people on SWAMI Xpress and all of those individualized diets, how on earth could you possible set up a buffet that would work?  My SWAMI diet is quite different from what my A nonnie diet was - and I'm only one person.  My friend Donna is also an A nonnie and her SWAMI diet is even more radically different than mine.

I do like the Introduction to Yoga idea though......... :K)

Dr D and Martha are the hostesses with the mostest, generous and welcoming

Maybe you've never been to a buffet. It's a large table wherefrom individuals may choose whatever foods they like, and leave on the large table those foods they do not.

NOT an academic conference, but a learning vacation for those trying to implement D'Adamo's work practically.

The D'Adamo Universe is a big tent.
Those interested in the sort of Beginner Practica proposed in the OP (sport/fitness and cooking classes) are not necessarily interested in the theory and science, though some of us definitely are! Thanks for reminding us that ifhi conferences are one way to take an er4yt-compliant vacation.

Some with imaginations might be inspired to conjure up other angles. Or not, as the case may be. Certainly the content of questions on this Forum indicates mass interest in very practical demonstrations and participatory learning.  :)

we'd gave a try in 2006 for some days on the island called Samos... but yep it wasn't repeatable... :-/(shrug)

I've mentioned before that even buffet-style restaurants aren't the best because of all the avoids that would be included in the sauces.  So my idea of a restaurant is one in which you could actually prepare your own food yourself.  This is not in itself the vacation, but the thread inspired me to bring this up again.

What a dream// all on a cruise... BTD compliant foods all the way.

OR:

3 hours on: go to meeting?

Make a list of what YOU as on individual could be contributing in a strong way, like one person doing:
cooking,
shopping
dancing
and a best moment in life stories for you..

We could easy doing it right here..

WE could add the items mentioned. Tune in to a video you like, or a food items you are eating that day... list a shopping list... a thought of the day... just add things we deem important.

Could we try it?

IN that thread NO questions to get lost in all over the place, just positivity in the thread, NO comments - so 'that' thread would be just entries,

To counter the need for comments make a second thread for all conversations... making the second thread way more expanded.

Might be fun... I am going to start two threads, if in the allotted time of (being able to take down a thread) no one thinks it worth it, I take the threads down...  nothing lost.   ??) ??) ??)

I think it could be done...  and be great positive, encouraging, and afford diversity of knowledge and interest.  LOL

It looks like you're saying your idea is a Cruise.
What I'm getting otherwise is that you think this thread is not the right venue for a different idea of yours?

I envision a pre-planned "vacation time and spot" in every State/Province/Country where active followers have participated in a vacationing "census" to see how many are arriving >>>>> if it cannot be hosted in one area vacationers can sign up for an adjacent area close enough to their locale to journey there. Requires a worldwide Vacation Coordinator and yes, live grill/salad/soup/dessert bar to keep food components separated and readily available for mixing.  :)

I doubt there are very many people in the Southeastern US who haven't been to a buffet... On the other hand, this would be an impossible undertaking especially with people on SWAMI unless the foods were prepared sans any sort of seasoning. Even one wrong seasoning could throw some people into a tailspin.

So: Bs not interested in "How to prepare Rabbit and Venison"?
As/ABs in "Tofu and Tempeh Cookery" or "Tamari, Miso, and other Soy Products"?
Os in "6 Mashed Potato substitutes for Os to love"?

And the Types in Teams for a Tennis round robin?
Or a Yoga class?
Or Intro Kick Boxing for Os?

A structured (but non-academic: Lecture-free) Cooking/ Fitness Vacation on, like, Maui or Majorca?
Ideas/fantasies?

I'm an A and if you can make my rabbit more yummy for me, more power to you.
Since most soy is still hidden GMO, I'm still allergic to it.
Or maybe my enzyme capacity was damaged.
I'll take an Y Dan class, please.
I'm not into the beach like a lot of B's, but I could envision New Zealand

Are you wheat tolerant?  If so, try some yummy "Rabbit and Dumplings".  Just follow a basic dumpling recipe like those for the classic Chicken and Dumplings.  For me that would be spelt, soymilk, egg, ghee, and salt.  Roast the rabbit according to a good recipe.  Combine and serve.  Should be very yummy.
