I see this is a new product and looks very interesting.  Anyone know if it's a good for every Bloodtype / Genotype one, or better for some than others?

write down the ingredients, to find out separately

surely Dr. D would not put a product out there and ask us to write down each ingredient and research it separately to see if its ok for our bloodtype when I assume he already knows..... :-/

The product is labeled as being okay for use by all blood types.

Andrea, I've tried listening to that interview,  but it won't work.  Not sure if it's a States thing only, or my iPad not picking it up.

The audio player used on the web page is Flash based. iPads do not support flash.  Here is a direct link to the audio file from El Dorado product page.

OMG  :o ;D 2013 Winter surprise!! Haven't listened yet to the audio. From the explanation I understand it also does the same work as Trehalose Complex. So maybe 1 month El Dorado, 1 month TC alternately? Or just use them together? I'm overwhelmed.

Kudos for the great nostalgic name.

I'm listening to the audio, and the answer is obvious, take both.

It comes to me as a personal gift. There's still hope for me then ;D  Dr. D you're an angel.

I really like the concept of what this product is used for, and though it's supposed to be okay for all blood types, I suppose our SWAMI's take precidence over our blood types?

Any thoughts on that?  I just checked my SWAMI and guarana is in my Avoid list.
Posted by: C_Sharp, Sunday, December 15, 2013, 5:59am; Reply: 13
Guarana (like coffee) is an avoid for most blood types.

I was presuming that the supplement was rated okay for all types because in the the pill it was a therapeutic dose taken for a particular effect  and this was different than consuming guarana as a food or beverage product.

I would have applied the same logic to the SWAMI rating which is not a rating for supplements.

I do not actually know whether this is a correct assumption.
Posted by: C_Sharp, Sunday, December 15, 2013, 6:25am; Reply: 14
The issue with Guarana is probably related to the caffeine. If you are particularly sensitive to caffeine I would not take it.  If you can consume decaffeinated tea or coffee you can probably take el dorado.

The 100 mg of Guarana in the tablet probably gives you the equivalent of about 5 mg of caffeine.

Drink                                           Amount of caffeine
Average drip decaf coffee (16 oz.)     8.6-13.9 mg
Decaf black tea (16 oz.)     4-20 mg
Decaf green tea (one serving)     1-8 mg

A cup of Guarana tea supplies about 50 mg of caffeine equivalent.

Kent is correct. In this instance we are controlling for all the other variables so we know that the effect of the caffeine in the guarana is  likely to work in the area we are most interested in.

Great!  Thanks Dr. D and C_sharp.  I'm looking forward to trying this product.

I don't drink coffee and only the occasional green tea.  My caffeine comes from chocolate and I don't really have any problems with caffeine.

I want to try this supp but am a bit concerned about the willow bark..100mg..as I am on aspirin therapy for nasal polyps and take 485 aspirin daily. Anyone know if that would be a problem?
Posted by: ruthiegirl, Tuesday, December 17, 2013, 7:59pm; Reply: 18
I would call DPN and ask them specifically. Maybe also talk to the doctor who prescribed the aspirin as well.

http://altmedicine.about.com/od/completeazindex/a/willow_bark.htm

Salix contains salicin which must be converted into salicylic acid. Most Willow bark supplements use extracts standardized to 15% salicin, so a 500mg capsule would have about 75mg salicin. El Dorado does not use an extract, but rather the herb itself (the formula does not require the amount needed for pain relief; just enough to tweak AMPK) so assuming that the crude herb has about 5% salicin (generous) one capsule of El Dorado (100mg Salix) would provide about 5mg of salicin of which about 50% (generous) would probably convert to salicylic acid. So each El Dorado would provide an additional 5-10mg salicylic acid over and above the 485mg you are currently taking.

When I saw this product I jumped for joy - being a B non-secretor...well, I'm  doing great but I've got issues of energy depletion with my busy lifestyle.  I used to take guarana and then found out it is an avoid for me but reading the string I see Dr. D has put my concerns to rest about that.

Observation - the way it is packaged and what is indicated for partnering products in the audio differ.

The audio indicates that El Dorado, Glycosia, Methl-B and Trehalose are the partners for success.  What is presented is El D., Harmonia, Deflect and Glycosia. (I bought it anyway)

So add Methl-B and Trehalose, I guess?  I go by the pretty pictures first, that's why I immediately pushed that order button; didn't have the time to observe there was an audio with further info. I would have ordered the other two at the same time had I known.

But its all good! What ever Dr. D produces is gold.  I'll see how my "package" does me good (after a 5 day cleanse, no less!)   It should be here any day.

I just got my delivery!  Now, I must be extremely caffeine sensitive because after the El Dorado the ringing in my  ears returned.  As I said previously, I just finished a 5 day green juice cleanse and am reintroducing solids back into my diet - also had a large green ice tea yesterday but that doesn't usually give me the "wired buzz" that coffee does.   Its not as bad as usual - I haven't gone through a whole day with the program yet - starting my morning now.  I feel absolutely fine - just the little high pitched buzz/ring in my ear.  I'll go through my day and see what transpires.
Posted by: purlgirl, Thursday, January 16, 2014, 10:12pm; Reply: 29
Desiree - I noticed the instructions say to take El Dorado between meals.
When did you take it?

I haven't been able to order it yet so I can't really help you but I have some thought on caffeine.

I can't tolerate caffeine or actually many herbs and suppliments first thing in the morning or on a completely empty stomach. Even Green Tea a Diamond for me.

Once I've eaten  breakfast I'm better. I still have to be careful (esp about amt of caffeine) but I'm ok with my suppliments, even between meal ones.

I hope you will tell us how you are doing - if you adjust to it.

I see you are also a non-secretor.
Posted by: Desiree, Friday, January 17, 2014, 6:54pm; Reply: 30
Hi Purl - I take it in the morning, get ready then have breakfast and my other suppliments.  It says take one twice a day-not gonna happen.  I'll be bouncing off the walls and proclaiming my opinions, loudly, from my soapbox!  I'm cutting back on the green tea because I really want to be able to see if this product works for me.  My energy level has gone up (fantastic walk through the City yesterday) - but I'm also easing back into solid foods after a juice cleanse, first meat was yesterday, a little turkey in a vegatable soup (tuna salad at lunch).   The energy is great - I'm just trying to figure how to get the ear ringing to stop.

Yes, I'm a non-secretor.  There are challenges with that. Can one make a wish to be a secretor and make it come true?   ;)

Wondering if I can take my first one, first thing in the morning with my hot water and lemon, that I add beet crystals to.  I also add my Trehalose Complex to the last  few mouthfuls.  Then I go off to Curves, and come back and have breakfast.

Phoned and found out that I can take it first thing in the morning and then head to exercise.

In a general question/general answer position:

Which supplements could El Dorado possible replace or be taken in place of since my financial situation allows for limited supplement purchases?
Posted by: Desiree, Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 5:24pm; Reply: 34
BluesSinger - I don't think it would replace any of the basic supplements because the basics seem to be such a necessary foundation (for me, anyway) that it would behoove you to make the sacrifice, at least once - to see if it works for you.  Before I started with the BTD/Geno/SWAMI diet I felt like the walking dead, so I make it my business to put my health and quality of life before anything else, or there is no "anything" else!  I used to struggle to get the supps I wanted but now I've worked it into my budget.  If I'm low on $$ I may just get the multi-vitamin, Polyflora and Deflect, until I can get the full pack again - and stay VERY compliant with my diet.  Perhaps that would work for you?  Maybe Lola can pipe in.  She's a wiz at this stuff.

Aside from that - I am feeling increasingly fantastic with my El Dorado! A little ringing, still, in my ear.  Cut back on the huge green teas - doing dandelion and chamomile.  I've up'd my exercise!

Buying multi-vitamin, Polyflora and Deflect is $106.85 (a dollar less if using exakta instead of polyvite)

Buying Polyvite, Phytocal, Polyflora and Deflect is $109.95 in the Basic Pack

To save money I would buy the basic pack and then cut the dose in half so it lasts twice as long.

I tried the El dorado but was not consistent...kept forgetting to take it between meals!! When I did remember, I felt heart palpitations within an hour after taking it.
Now I am trying it only once a day between breakfast and lunch. ;)
Posted by: BCgal, Thursday, January 23, 2014, 3:53am; Reply: 38
I'm taking one first thing in the morning and the second about 4 pm before supper.  Started Friday Jan.17.  No problems so far, but no increase in energy yet either.
Posted by: Mrs T O+, Saturday, January 25, 2014, 6:40pm; Reply: 39
I just ordered the pack & am a little leery of the El Dorado. My metabolism is good; it's the appetite that is beyond what I should eat.  El Dorado is supposed to work with the metabolism. I think that I will take one a day instead of 2 (I think that is what is the dosage.).  I remember getting heart palpitations with MSG or other baddies years ago, & they ain't fun!
When they say between meals, how long is that before & after?  I tend to eat often & less often if I am out of the house or really busy, so I need to know the timing.
If the El Dorado (I almost wrote ED - Ha!) does cause palpitations, would it be better if I take if before exercising to burn it off or better to be calm after taking it? If I take it once, I plan to do it in the morning.

How long are these products on sale?

BTW, the UNIBars are 20% off. YUM!!!!!!!!!!

Mrs.T, I had to look up the time frame for in between meals and I came up with, 2 hrs. after a meal, and an hr. before a meal.  I take one first thing in the morning then go to Curves or in the sauna.  I take a second one around 4-5.

I'm going on my second week - I've only been doing one El Dorado in the morning - and energy has been great.  The ear ringing is diminishing, still there (very light tone) but not like a bullhorn anymore.  I have been compliant with my diet and with portions, walk just about every day as well as some stretching, planks and push ups.  (This is what I've always done) I've lost about 3/4 of an inch in my waist and my belly is going down.  My pants either fit correctly now or are a bit loose in the thighs and around my waist.  I've really never had results like this before so I'm assuming its the D'D's products.  I'm very encouraged - thinking of adding that 2nd El Dorado, about 2 pm - although I still have the energy for a power walk at the end of the day.  And in San Francisco with its steep hills it is truly a power walk!  I am sleeping very well, not getting up in the middle of the night as often.  And I dance more - to songs like Pharrell's "Happy" - try it!  This is just a week & 1/2 in - I must be dreaming... ;D

Desiree,
Oh my goodness! I love that song and have been using it in my "dance workouts" in my home gym! :D Fun!
I do feel a bit more energy with El Dorado but haven't noticed any change in weight.
Like Mrs T, I think my metabolism has been good, but my appetite is strong... :-/

Yes, cajun! Its my new happy song, along with many others - like "Golden" by Jill Scott.  I think you can have coffee, yes?  Being the B non - Explorer, I'm very sensitive, so maybe that's why I feel it more.  I believe the Glycosia is a major contributor in the whole program. Also, I've been ensuring I eat LOTS of fresh veggies with lunch and dinner - salads, I love salads with all the lettuces and raw vegetables I love.  I right size the protein and basically have as much salad as I like (with my own olive oil & lemon dressing. No sugar and I limit grain carbs strictly - they make me crave.  I think this along with the harmony deluxe is keeps me pretty satisfied.  The El Dorado keeps my dancing shoes on :)   This is just how I feel its working for me.
Posted by: cajun, Wednesday, January 29, 2014, 4:48am; Reply: 44
Ahh, ok, so you are taking a combo of Glycosia/El dorado/Harmonia.?

I feel my heart palp if I take 2 El dorado daily( I do have explorer in me ;D)
but one mid-morning is working fine. Yes, I have coffee as a superfood but only drink it about 3 times a week as a 'misto'..hot soy milk on bottom with plain coffee over that and one raw sugar. I do take harmonia in my smoothies, about twice a week and alos take glycosia every once in awhile.. ::) I might try a combo myself and see how it works! ;)
I eat a mixed green and raw veggie salad everyday for lunch and sometimes again at dinner. I prefer the taste of raw carrots, onions, green veggies and lettuces, also. ;) I eat grain carbs and beans almost daily. They are numerous on my swami. I do think I need to review my portions and frequencies, though.  ;)
Keep on dancing! ;D

I got my 'pack' the other day. I was afraid to take the El Dorado(I planned to but chickened out), so today I took half of it out of the capsule & drank it with water. Yeah, it tastes bad, but I'll make it.  Tomorrow, I'll take the other half in the capsule! I didn't get any palpitations!

If you are eating no avoids and losing weight, you are most likely detoxing something that is hard for you to digest, which is causing the smelly gas...  Hopefully, you'll get through this soon and enjoy better health.

Actually, I have great health. It's funny, I used to burp all the time & was constipated before I really started following my swami 18 months ago. Since I've been eating right, I no longer burp (only if I eat something I shouldn't), but now I go regularly, but have TONS of gas! Soooo, I guess I'd rather go & be gassy, than not go & burp LOL. It just smells now, where it didn't before. I wonder what else I could do to help digest things better? I take bromelain & HCI. . .

Also possible: Polyflora A, Intrinsa, Deflect A, Hepatiguard...  Or some enzymes...  It all depends what the digestive issue is...

Dr. D uses ara6 in many of his supplements also known as pixie dust-- it sometimes causes a bit of gas as it gets the flora healthier in the gut.

Take it slow and take it at night before bed so you can relax about the gas. ;)

Interesting.

I wonder if we could get some clarification from Dr. D regarding supplement instructions to "Take on an empty stomach." And "Take away from food."  What is the true window on these food/supplement interactions? Even though it's been discussed here before, it's still rather vague to me. In particular, how likely are these supps to be ineffective if those guidelines are not optimal.

I'm a light grazer from awaking to dinnertime. It's hard enough getting 2-3 hours away for them, and would not want to missing the benefits and wasting the money.

This depends though on the contents of the meal and on how big the meal is.

But it's true, there must be a difference - I noticed that for some supps it says 'away from food', for some 'between meals', and for some 'on empty stomach'. I saw several times that 'away from food' was interpreted as 'half an hour before meal or 2 hours after meal'.  For El Dorado it says 'between meals'.

For me, 'empty stomach' is only first thing in the morning.  I only have a few supps that say 'away from food' and I'm taking them first thing in the morning and right before bed.

Got my order today -
I couldn't afford the combo pack so I  got El Dorado for me because my weight is good but I lack energy.

I ordered Glycoscia for my sis to try because I believe she has a problem with excessively thrifty genes.
I don't see on the bottle when she should take it. I'll do some checking here on the web site but could you share a bit about how you take the Glycoscia and your experience with it, please.

Take one Glycoscia with a meal twice a day.  I take mine with breakfast and lunch.

Started taking the ARA6 at night like you suggested in a thread a while back.  Also taking a tablespoon like you said you also were taking.

actually i add TC (1/2 teaspoon each), both before breakfast, but i'm curious if it could be better to take ara6 at night.
could you please share---- did you feel any difference?

Sorry, but I don't take TC, so I'm unable to provide any feedback on that.

Regarding ARA6, honestly, I don't feel anything when I take it, day or night.  I don't take it on a regular basis, because it's not mentioned at all in my supplement list on my SWAMI.  I feel I get enough fiber with my SWAMI.  This is probably why it's not mentioned at all on my SWAMI, except on the Carb section, and I eat tons of Flaxseed, so I'm getting a wonderful fiber already from that group.  Being a Warrior, practically every food group on my SWAMI contains fiber.

I have been taking the El Dorado (2xday) for three weeks and can already see my mid-section shrinking. I am extremely caffeine sensitive, but have had no problems with the ED.  My energy level is definitely on the rise, but I had not attributed that to the El Dorado.  I guess I should be. I take  Glycosia, Harmonia (in my AB smoothie), Deflect, Trehalose and ARA--to name a few--and have been for some time.  Adding the El Dorado has been key to my mid-section and apparently my energy level. DrD is a genius--but then we all know that. :)

Wondering if I can take my first one, first thing in the morning with my hot water and lemon, that I add beet crystals to.  I also add my Trehalose Complex to the last  few mouthfuls.  Then I go off to Curves, and come back and have breakfast.

BCgal suggested you about calling for better instructions.

Santina, when I phoned, they told me that I could take one pill first thing in the morning with my hot water and lemon.  Then it's at least an hour later before I have breakfast.  I try to take a second at least an hour before supper.

For those of us who are caffeine sensitive--don't take after 2PM.  If I take my second one later than that I find that I am wide awake at bedtime--and beyond.

I've been browsing this post and I basically like what I'm hearing.  Reduce belly fat and speed up metabolism.  Sounds good to this A.  When I called to order I did ask about the caffeine effect and was told that the natural herb amount they use is minimal so I'm going with that information and I'll see how I react.

I have gone back to having one cup of coffee (sometimes just half a cup, depending, upon how I feel in the AM and that is OK).

I'm looking forward to including this supplement into my regimen.  I'll be glad to post my reactions after a week or so.

hello, it's the third day now i'm taking El Dorado.
i must say it works.
actually i was so weak and tired all the time, even after taking TC and Ara6 that it couldn't be feel worst than that, i was beginning to think that maybe they didn't work for me as for the other people.

But when i changed  from half a teaspoon each to 1 teaspoon each and add El Dorado too......well......it is another music so to speak!

El Dorado is working. or maybe they all together.

hi Susan, i take 1 cp in the morning and the second one 1 hour before dinner.
i also added cortiguard as well so i don't know which one is working...maybe both together... ??) ::) ??) ??) ::) ::)

This afternoon I took my first capsule. During supper I felt that I my appetite had shrunk a lot. It's excellent for me to eat less, but it's a somewhat scary experience, me Gatherer  :o  :P ;D

Next capsule I believe is tomorrow between breakfast and lunch - or again in the afternoon (think)

Joy,
I am anxious to read your thoughts and results, also! Especially since we are both A/teachers. I took El Dorado for 2 weeks...only one in the morning..made my heart palpitate. I am not caffeine sensitive so this made me feel a bit uneasy. I am wondering if the guarana is affecting me. ??) It has been almost 2 weeks now since I took it so I may try again this coming Monday and see what happens.
Good luck to you!

Tomorrow has arrived, it's 8:22 AM and I am still not hungry at all. Until now have taken only my first capsule yesterday afternoon. I tried to think of a one egg scambled egg, but the thought of any fat puts me off. Very untypical :o  Should I be worried or what. El Dorado is certainly very powerful. In the meantime, a portion of beef is on the stove cooking, with parsley and zucchini.

Maybe I'll start with 1 capsule every other day. It's working so strong :D

AB Teacher here.

In my experience I have yet to have a truly negative reaction to any of DrD's formulations. But they are powerful and effective. Indeed you can expect to experience 'changes.' I think you are wise to take one a day for awhile and let your body acclimate. I'm not an expert, but I would not be alarmed by a diminished appetite. Eat light and listen to your body. ;)

I wanted to have a full day with l capsule inside of me to get an inkling as to how it may benefit my overall energy.

I took a capsule yesterday afternoon around 2:30PM as soon as I picked up the package from the post office.  Noticed two things.  A slightly diminished appetite last night and when outside felt the temperature change; it had dropped about 8 degrees.  Normally I don't feel it that acutely.  Of course, it may have nothing to do with El Dorado.

This morning after breakfast around noon time I took another capsule.  So far one a day in mid morning after food in the stomach seems like its going to work.

As to energy I'm not sure yet.  I felt more focused (I do have A.D.D.) which is a good thing.  Overall energy wise I may have to wait a week or so to comment.

Otherwise, it seems to be OK.  Cajun, I hope you can resume using this supplement for its benefits as others have posted.  Hope you don't have the same reaction you had before.  I'm sure you'll let us know.

After listening to Dr D's podcast on this, I started having El Dorado first thing in the morning with my Membrosia complex.  Since the Membrossia complex already has Trehalose in it, I do not have my TC in the morning any more.  I have the TC in the late afternoon.

In the morning about one hour after the El Dorado Membrosia combo, I have the Glyscoscia (trying to give a boost to my metabolic rate to get rid of some extra kilos still lingering on) ...

Then is breakfast time and I supp with Occubright and Phlocicin ...

Later in the morning I have Proberry and Connectivar.

I take another dose later in the days for the supps that, according to instruction on package, require so.  About an hour before bedtime I take my B12 ...

At the moment my focus with the supps is in weight control, joint mobility,  deep cell health and immune boosting (in prep for dental work next week).

Still cooking eating healthy, according to my Swami ... making own sourdough, own kefir milk, sprouting and sourcing as much as I can from our gardens ...

My exercise routine has been up and down, more on the down lately! ... So I am addressing that ...

Will keep you posted ... :)

I ate way too much last night, so I'm going to take one first thing in the morning with my warm lemon water and Trehalose/Glycoscia, then another mid morning, starting today.

I am still a bit confused if it is OK to have the Glyscoscia with the Membrossia/El Dorado combo, or wait an hour or so to take it ... ???? ??)

I don't know the answer to your question, Cristina...this morning I took the ED, then went back to bed, then about an hour later, I took the Glycoscia, then breakfast with other supps. When I get the Membrosia Combo, I'll figure out when to add that...

I've just listened again to Dr. D's explanations on El Dorado and this is what I decided to do: After taking my 'first thing in the morning supps', which include Polyflora, Live Cell, Redoxa, Deflect, and Histona Ulterior (quite a list) in lemon water, I wait a while; then I take a second glass of lemon water with a level spoon* - sorry, level teaspoon - of Trehalose Complex AND 1 capsule of El Dorado. My next round half an hour later includes few medicinal mushrooms caps. Half an hour later - breakfast & supps taken with meal AND Glycoscia. I defer the membrosia for later in the day, not later than 15:00. I got up around 5:30 and now it is 9:00 and all seems well. Time for a round of green tea ;)

A corretion: A level teaspoon of Trehalose Complex, not a level spoon!!!

I took an ED first thing this morning, then ate my usual bean and yogurt breakfast. I ate a smallish lunch, then around 3 pm took another ED. I had a very productive day, and when I was done and ready to come home, I still had good energy. I'm pretty sure it's the ED...because I did not sleep soundly last night (tossing and turning). I'm still waiting for dinner to finish cooking, but honestly, I'm not that hungry (which is unusual for me). :D

Day three on the El Dorado supp and I've not only had a lot more energy than normal, but I feel happier than normal, too. I'm normally a fairly happy person and choose to see things in a positive light, but I've noticed that even mundane things are making me smile and clap my hands and feel happy.

Good for you, Drea! :)

I started back on ED this morning. I had my lemon water, then oatmeal, took a glycosia, waited about 30 minutes and had polyflora A, polyvite A and proberry. About one hour later I took ED.

I am a bit confused as to when the optimum time is to take any of my supps? ??) ::)

I have always taken the before mentioned ones in the morning and before bed take phytocal A, vit. D and genoma derma. At various times during the week I take as needed; helix, cortiguard, quercetin, deflect A.

I'm in the same boat...I think it might be trial and error. I know some supps taken on an empty stomach make me nauseous.

I take my polyflora first thing in the morning and wait at least 15-20 minutes before eating anything. Makes my stomach feel great! My bottle says to take "away from foods," whatever that means..

Would like to get an overview of those taking El Dorado at least one week.  Please state whether you take one capsule or two a day.

Also, how does it affect your energy noticeably, hunger, sleep, morning ablutions.

I've stopped taking it every day for now but plan to start again soon.  I'm going to listen to Dr. D's explanation about El Dorado also.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I've been taking it twice a day for 6 days (almost a week)...I definitely have more energy, and my mood has been up, but my sleep has not been great, even though I cannot say one way or another if it's the ED or something else. I added a whole bunch of supps when I started th ED. I've been losing weight because I'm not as hungry and I'm also not having cravings. So that's something.

What is working well for me is to take the ED twice a day, once at 10 am and gain at 3 pm. I'm retraining my body to eat a larger breakfast, with lunch and dinner smaller. Hope this helps!

I started back on Monday with ED but could not take it on Tuesday or Wednesday because of some virus/bug my body was fighting. I am back on it as of today so will continue to take one everyday between breakfast and lunch and report back.

I think my previous heart palps were due to me taking ED on an empty stomach in the morning. I noticed Monday and today my heart was/is fine and a I have a bit more energy and focus. ??) 8)

I appreciate you both Drea and Cajun for giving feedback on your experiences, so far, with El Dorado.

What I gathered from the talk interview with Dr. D'Adamo is that El Dorado works very well with Trehalose and some other cell enhancing supplements.  They all seem to work synergistic with each other to enhance the performance of the cells.

Optimum performance of cells (which we all have so many of in our makeup).  That is, of course, my uneducated understanding.  I trust that this is a very important element and supplement for our overall health and I'm all for that.

This is a work in progress and I hope that more people share their experiences.  I plan to start taking it again next week.  Probably just one a day after breakfast.

OK...one week and no heart palps! I only take one ED about an hour or 2 before lunch and am not hungry! :o I do feel a bit more clear headed, focused, no brain fog.  :)
I will continue this way until bottle is used up then re-evaluate. ;)
