BTD Forums  /  The Encyclopedia/ D'Adamo Library  /  article - effects of alcohol consumption
Posted by: Victoria, Tuesday, November 26, 2013, 2:22am
A few weeks ago (or so), I read an interesting article that had a paragraph on the effect of alcohol consumption.  It explained in simple terms why it can be difficult for a person to stop drinking.

I'm thinking it was one of the DPN articles, maybe Dr. D, or Dr. Ginger Nash.  Or it could have been anywhere.  I'm pretty sure I saw it via link on this site, but I'm having no luck in finding it.

Does anyone recall reading this?

Sent these to a brain scientist we know.  I'll keep you posted on what he has to say!

Very important concepts!  But, no - that's not what I'm looking for.  The article I'm thinking of described what happens when a 'drinker' stops drinking and how the emotions are in a slump for a while.  It helps explain why people go back to drinking and have a hard time quitting.  It's important information to be able to give to people who can't imagine surviving without alcohol.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for.

Thank you Chloe, but that's not the one.

I'm pretty sure I read the article somewhere at this website.  The article itself was not about alcohol - just one paragraph in the middle, which was very concise and was something that I'd like to share with a friend, who suffers from depression when quitting drinking.  The paragraph explained why this happens, without overwhelming the drinker with too much info.

It's a delicate road to travel, when trying to help someone who has developed an alcohol dependency.

I'm justamente also onto that thema in reading it and commented by Bouchard and Ordovas related to dif. genetical issues... ( molec. biolog< & translat. science Vol. 108)one mentiones that moderate alc.intake is nearly for all beneficial and a proven anti-heart-disease correlation... others do a dementi... I think nothing indeed in really proven here... the same for the heavy side and negative effects by cafĂ© consumption....(coz of the roasting effects....... :-/ )  amazing amazing...all is pro and contra at the same time... true life...huh ??) ;) ;D...(shrug)(ondrugs)(dizzy)(eek)(evil)(whistle) I observe the huge blubberings in and with and included of the so called SNPS...this doesn't explain about cell voltages nor what's going on in the thema of detoxing capacities nor capabilities.... ;D the same for the so called *pic. giving infos by radiation better said x-rays... we can't get any info about the true
*cell performance* and what's going on nor what's up overthere... but we're getting more then a glimps by using  inductional analysis and other similar systems... we can perform and see what's up in *dark field analysis* etc... but all the other *modalities* are only a form of *new wrappements of older knowledge*

Also do we need to take care in what we're going to agree or/and becomeing aware about our own *persona* appearing with and under stress....(goofy) and if we aren't aware about those very harsh issues...so we are ready to be overwhelmed by other persons needs ..wishes and of course of manipulative behaviours.....

Remember even one of the greates geneticers named Bruce Lipton learned and made a complete reversement of his own habits and believe/educational systems....when he proclaimed: mind over genes..... (another voltage freak by knowledge.... ;) )...

I can see that you understand about walking that narrow road between caring enough about a friend to try and help them get free of addictive behavior, but not sinking into co-dependency.

No matter what, I realize that no addict/alcoholic can be helped unless they are ready and decide to do whatever it takes for them to be free.
