The holiday season is upon us and that only means one thing…unless you have superhuman willpower, you will be tempted to indulge in some of the avoid foods that will likely appear on your table. Gobs of creamy mashed potatoes, vegetables slathered in butter and sauces, Grandma’s traditional bread stuffing, and a slab of pumpkin pie…all washed down with a goblet (or two) of wine. Then the fun really begins—the gurgling stomach, bloating, gas, and that heavy, lethargic feeling post-feast feeling (don’t blame the turkey for this one).

By taking a few preventive measures, you may be able to reduce some of the discomfort...
