My swami says I can't have Cocconut meat or Coconut Oil and I'd like to take Monolaurin to help fight my Lyme Disease. But it's derived from Coconuts. Does anyone know if it's ok for me to take this?

If it will help with your Lyme that would take precedence over SWAMI in my view.

Whether it is better or worse than the coconut it is derived from a SWAMI view is pretty much irrelevant.

I agree with Lloyd. If the supplement helps you with a specific illness, then that healing affect will outweigh the negatives of it being an "avoid" for you.

Bear in mind, however, that this supplement may end up not helping you, even though it works for others.

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably give it a try. I don't mind being a "Guinna Pig".
