Hi Everyone

I just joined but have been aware and followed the Diet as a type O on and off for about 10 years. The off part is falling back into the grains which I cannot do right now at all. I might introduce sparingly after I get through the years of leaky gut. For those who know or have this no need to go into the adrenal and other issues involved. yucky.
But I have some added things that are related. You can call it hiatal hernia but really as my digestion deteriorated my diaphragm really contracted pushing stomach up some and causing panic attacks. I am a psychotherapist and have done and worked with many healing modalities around the emotions related to my physical symptoms. Years back i went into a traumatic shock due to some childhood patterning that brought all this on.
Due to the chronic nature I am not doing so well financially.
All that to say I am wondering what ideas there might be...to do preferably but to take low cost...that might help relax the muscles esp diaphragm. I know that given time and better assimilation the muscles will probably begin to soften. There are some release points I hold or massage in relation to diaphragm and I can tell as weight reduces further the toxins reduce and it is getting better.

Hello Sam, I know what you mean about the hold that grains have, however I choose to still eat a variety of grains, avoiding wheat, and not much spelt either (sprouted bread, maybe a little). I eat a little kamut cous cous once a week.  Rice, yes.... some millet, buckwheat, amaranth, quinoa, but always as part of a well balanced meal with the animal-based protein, some fat, quite a lot of vegetables, especially the greens and root veg.
I feel that often, it is the assimilation of nutrients which needs some improving, this often is linked with sluggish elmination, liver/colon often work together.  Metabolism can slow down due to different reasons.
I am finding yoga mudra, yoga pranayama (breathing exercises), some asanas/hatha yoga helping a lot, I do them after an early morning walk, and a little more breathing exercises and mudra just before bed.  Nutrients can't get into cells if cells are holding onto wastes, including carbon dioxide, and I found this out clearly earlier this year after having a hair analysis done, when I could see by the report I was deficient in some minerals, plus had some heavy metal toxicity, no wonder I was in decline over many years, often ignoring it as had other issues to deal with, and just life to get on with every day, or whatever I was doing just was not helping.
Keep visiting this site and do a search on adrenal exhaustion too, sometimes it is the combination of things we do that gets results, plus the positive affirmations to say out loud every day, and surrounding yourself with like-minded people and people who accept you as you are.
Making a cleansing/detoxing herbal tea mixture every day can help too, kept warm in a thermus flask, drink most of this before midday.  It all works, and slowly the emotional toxins also will be released, as these can be suppressed from childhood. Add your O to the avatar here, makes it easier further on to know more of who you are.

I am looking in on the word Dysbiosis in the other thread, as there is a decent enough explanation.. I think.. learning more might help (me) ..  

Grains for me are difficult as I never learned to trust them, thinking they made me tired.. But honestly - the grains in the above post would be new to me - so I just might look into some of them..

Trauma can cause issues all around. coming here and letting us know the foods you do eat, might help in getting good answers.. What is your budged in terms of affording supplements from Dr. D's store.. Getting help with the exact O Right Suport sups might be money well spent.  

Are you doing self hypnosis with thinking immagery?  The brain only knows what you tell it, so tell it new endings.. The body on the other hand never forgets on insult.. so be gentle with both. Sitting for seconds to minutes at a time, looking at a lovely picture, is enough to change the body / mind reactions.. it can be done in line at the check out counter or waiting for a red light.. immagin your Self having healed your intestines.. immagin You caring for your insides..  immagin a sunset just for You --- a second or a minute at a time.  The body will be grateful.

Magnesium can help relax muscles. I suggest using transdermal (topical) application if your gut is compromised. Magnesium oil (magnesium chloride solution) is very absorbable through the skin. Epsom salt baths don't deliver as much absorbable magnesium, but is easier to find.

I can't help you with your other questions.
