Has any A+ blood type taken spirolina? If so, did you have any side effects? Swami says I should avoid sea vegetables, kelp, kombu, nori. Would this include spirolina?

I am not an A, but have taken spirolina.  Maybe it depends on what a person's internal enviroment is like.  Some think much of the sea algae is not always pure and toxin-free, and people with severe carb intolerance may not consume it as due to the way it breaks down in the intestines - the SCD (Spec carb diet).
just pay attention to how you feel if taking it, but you should be ok getting your nutrients from other sources too ie land vegetables, protein sources, fats, and paying attention to good assimilation of your nutrients to ensure they get into your beautiful cells (is using spices and herbs, eating less in the evenings, etc.

Take a closer look at SWAMI. Here are all the listings of "sea vegetables" from my own personal SWAMI:

Sea Vegetables, Irish Moss ◊
Sea Vegetables, Kelp, Kombu, Nori,
Bladderwrack ◊
Sea Vegetables, Spirulina ◊
Sea Vegetables, Wakame ◊

Notice how there are 4 separate listings? "Irish Moss" is one, "kelp, kombu, nori, bladderwrack" is two, "spirulina" is 3, and "wakame" is 4. In my case, all are diamond  beneficials and are next to each other in the "beneficial" list. Since there are 4 separate categories, they could be on any of the 3 lines. They might not line up next to each other if one's in the avoid column and another is in the beneficial and/or neutral column, as each list is alphabetical order, and the number (and choice) of what's in each list will vary in every SWAMI report.

Thank you. I had weird feelings all day, including dizziness and clogged up head, the two days I had 1 tsp of spirolina in my breakfast. So I posted here to see if it affected others. Then my doctor said not to take any more, because of my many allergies.

I would firstly take note of the quality of the Spirulina and secondly, when introducing something new into your diet take a small amount first and give your body a chance
to get used to it.

I usually start with 1/8  teaspoon per day of something new, sometimes every 2 days rather than daily at first. That's how I started with chlorella.

Doesn't your SWAMI list Spirulina in the Live Foods category?

I am an A and take both spirulina and chlorella without any negative side effects.

Ruthiegirl,

Thanks for clarifying the 4 separate listings for the Sea Vegetables...My SWAMI has put the Irish Moss, Spirulina and Wakame as SF's & Diamonds, but has also relegated the Kelp, Kombu, Nori and Bladderwrack to Avoids.

Now, I had been taking Fucus Plus since I started GTD in May (but have dropped it like a hot brick) and I also wanted to order some Deflect O - except I notice it also has Bladderwrack 200mg - What's a girl to do??? ??) ::) Does anyone with the Encyclopedia know what Bladderwrack has done wrong all of a sudden, or have any suggestions, please...
