My swami allows 4 servings of fruit. Fruit is a healthy food. Why would there be a limitation on the amount?

Fruit contains lots of fructose - it can make you gain lots of fat/mess with insulin

While some fruit is good due to vitamins and fibres
- make sure you don´t drink a lot of juice
- juice is really sneaky  1 glass of fruit can contain the amount of 5-6 fruits but you don´t get the fibres to stop the fructose to mess with insulin
So whole 4 pieces of fruit during the day can be fine - large servings of fruit can be rather dangerous... and fruit is far sweeter than it used to be.
I have to restrict my fruit AND eat it as part of a meal or it mess my blood sugar up.

Lola, I wish I could just do exactly what swami sets for me but there are lots of foods that are diamonds for me, to which I am allergic or that just make me feel unwell like green tea, peanuts, all the cheeses... That sadly puts me on guard. But I understand the point about the fruit sugar and will stick to the amounts. I also bought all the supplements and will give this a good month to see if it makes me feel well.
Is it important to have the grains/ carbs? I prefer omitting them and sticking to fruits, salad, nuts during the day and having fish or other with steamed veg at night.
Can I take cortiguard and polyflora at the same time? It's easier that way since both need to be taken away from food.
When is it best to take intrinsa? I have too much yeast in my dig. system.

I use the nongrains in the carb list:

Flaxseed Bread
Larch Fiber
Lentil Flour, Dahl
Papadam ...

You are not required to eat anything that makes you feel ill.  It's good to move slowly when it comes to adding foods that you have a "bad" history with.  When you do add in questionable foods, be sure you are eating the purest form, for example - organic peanuts/peanut butter - with no additives.

Many people focus on non-grain sources for their carbs, such as chia and flax seeds, beans, nuts and starchy vegetables (within your own food list, of course).  Just make sure you are not relying so heavily on fruits for your carbs that you are eating too much sugars.  This would not help your systemic yeast issues.

As the gut heals, some of this most likely will correct, but it will take some time.  It is best to work around personal issues for probably at least 6 months to allow some healing to take place before even attempting to "renew" acquaintance with food that you have been sensitive to in the past...
