BTD Forums  /  Supp Right For Your Type  /  Getting insulin to release?

I've had some good improvement with a few things lately. Mostly by consuming quiet a bit of protein and not drinking my buildings water.

But now that I'm back to being closer to that health state where things actually heal and work... It occurs to me that with any other time I've gotten back to having regular BM's... The same thing is always present. I have to eat whey based cheeses for it to happen.

I don't think my insulin response is that bad. I've been consuming tons of AGE removing stuff, and taking cellular health drink. I do lots of stuff in my favor for reception.

When I do consume whey based cheeses every thing start working better. But it's a limited return. It was only permanent once. But that was the healthiest I'd even been. I didn't even have great gut flora because I ate lamb a lot. (after I get better, but was better for months)

I don't get why my body is so interested in not releasing insulin? It's the only thing that makes me begin to be normal. None of the protocols or anything seem to help too much. Once I had temporary relief when I was taking the whole Type A package and lots more magnesium, calcium, and zinc. Maybe something else too. But I took lots of HCL and protein powder as well. I think getting enough protein is what lets me sleep right, and my bladder/prostate be ok; but it needs to digest and doesn't most the time.

Not sure what kind of an answer I need. But there's nothing like being able to truly relax and enjoy it. It doesn't come otherwise, without consuming some of the cheese (and avoiding that water etc).

I have no clue if this would work... I started to eat 2-3 spoons of oil every day, for other reasons and after two month I could go and eliminate with ease... but it took 2 month, of tasteless extra light olive oil washed down with water for it. to work on my insides... When I stop taking it, then in 4 days, I am having difficulties again... I also think it made my health and diabetes numbers better. -  could be worth a try. I learned it in the Shangri-la diet read on line.  The oil is a super benefit for me.

Oil's ok. I'm not having trouble with constipation. But it seems obvious that some things don't happen correctly without insulin release being better. Like hydration of a BM, probably different enzymes etc, not firing up without it working right.

Too much cheese doesn't help, sure. I don't know what is in the cheese that does it, but thought maybe there would be something similar or semi-related to encourage proper behavior.

Makes a huge difference when we eat it!  Our two favorites are pumpkin macaroni and cheese (with all compliant ingredients) and - best of all - pumpkin soup!

Wow... pumpkin does a lot of good things according to a Google search. It appears it could be a great answer. Thank you. Time to start enjoying pumpkin!

I just ordered a case of Farmer's Market organic pumpkin in BPA free cans from Amazon.  I have found that if I buy a case in the fall I get the best price.  Waiting until January means either there is no pumpkin available or that the price has doubled or tripled.

I am an Amazon Prime club member so get 2 day free shipping on everything and I also use their subscribe and save program and have 5 items coming to me each month so I get 15% off each thing.  But even without those benefits, the price on Amazon is very good.
