Just be selective of who your provider is!

"For part of the process necessary to produce chocolate, the cocoa beans must be left out to ferment. During this process it is possible for cancer causing agents to form, as well as for insects, rodents, and small animals to contaminate the fermenting cocoa beans. These contaminants remain in the finished product. The FDA allows up to 10 milligrams of animal excrement per pound, or up to 25 insect fragments per tablespoon of cocoa powder." I just made chocolate waffles for my husband with soy flour, cocoa, almond milk, honey, raw sugar, baking soda, two eggs, and vegetable oil (not sure if that's okay for an O)

He liked them :)

That's usually soy. Look at the ingredient list on the label.

I did - it was soy... but I left my list at home and was putting the mix together on the fly. (I'm new to the BTD-O diet)

Get a bottle of good quality walnut oil.  It is wonderful and you are not taking the chance of getting genetically modified corn or soy in your oil.  There are other oils that are excellent also, but as far as I can see walnut seems to be good for all blood types.

It is not recommended to cook with extra virgin olive oil because the very delicate phytonutrients in the oil are easily damaged.

Olive oil might be way to valuable to cook with.. sprinkle it on food, or poor on vegetables just before serving, or take by the soon full as I do.

Sounds yummy!

Since you're new to BTD, I'd suggest using up the vegetable oil in the house but buying something healthier when it's time to get more. Also make sure that the soy flour you buy is either organic or "certified GMO free." But don't make yourself crazy. What you're doing now is way better than feeding wheat and corn to your hubby, and it's OK to take baby steps. Use up what you have then make better choices the next time you're shopping.

rice flour would be a better choice.  soy is only slightly less worse for me than wheat.  I do okay with spelt flour.

Cocoa powder would be rated as chocolate.
