I'm very sad to pass along the news that some of you have already seen on FB that NewHampshireGirl, Kathleen Barlow, passed away a few days ago.  She was a lovely caring woman that I was lucky enough to know a little bit.  She was a long time member of this forum, in her 80s, who came to this way of life with previous health problems.  We both had our thyroids removed and shared how much the BTD had helped us. We shared experiences with different types of replacement meds.  I know Kathy also was knowledgeable about homeopathy.

I'll miss her.  She was a shining light.

A valued member of this Forum and particularly of the B clan, and an enthusiastic contributor, over the years, to the "B & Individuality" sticky.
Farewell, friend!

It would have been nice to support her - even while she was preparing to leave us...

Goldie if you check what she last posted (by clicking on her name via a search) you will see she was supported as she was going through this, however she had not posted since July 7th, so there was no update re the latest development?!

I sent her a message very recently through FB just asking how she was doing and she didn't respond.  I know I didn't realize just how close to the end she was.  So sad.

Thank you for letting us know, Jane.  She was very kind, extending an open offer to me to visit her in NH anytime, knowing how much I miss New England.  She was a lovely presence in our community and heaven must be twinkling a little brighter today with her there.

My sentiments as well. She was very inspirational and her posts felt like you were actually sitting in front of her visiting...Her family will surely miss her.

Sadly, I'm sharing NHG's last post on this forum.....from the above thread.....May 15, 2013

"I haven't been on board for awhile.  Spent one week in one hospital then transferred to another one for two weeks.  It was no picnic but the doctors were excellent.  The sad news is that my cancer is Grade IV.  I'm home and visiting with family, friends and Hospice.  Other than that, I seem to be sleeping a lot!  The doctors and nurses couldn't get over the good condition I was in.  That seemed of little solace at the time but the doctor said that is what will bring me through the recovery period.  Through to what?... I sometime ask myself.  Then, I remember that I'm 81 for pete's sake so what did I expect?  I feel sorry for my youngest sister since we lost a sister to breast cancer this past September.

Just thought you ought to know what the latest is with me since I have been a long-time contributor to this wonderful forum.  I love you all!!! "

A lovely post... so honest and plain talks... I am sorry I did not see this earlier... it would have remined me of Mom.  She also was a Brave Lady to the end.  Honoring all who went before - in very fond memories. Their 'energy' never leaves us.
