My retired chiropractor and husband (they're great friends) scoff at this diet.

Been 4 days on only Dr. D's.  Quit taking Standard Process 9 products I've been on for 3 yrs.

Was mucle tested by my Doc yesterday on all products. (Unexpected social visit.  Wanted more time to pass before testing but, oh well, )

Results = great shape! (Doc's words after testing all internal organs)  Per S.P. supps dosages = 5 stayed the same, 2 increased [gum health and stomach acid] and 2 decreased [calcium lactate and heart health]  Per Dr. D's.... Catalyst - Need  :),  Activator - don't need right now  ??), Flaxseed Oil - don't need right now  ??)

Doc asked me who made these and where I found them but I just told him I'd talk to him later about them.  Thankfully he forgot to ask later.

I want to keep going w/Dr. D's. and am keeping a symptom journal.

Any thoughts?  Any suggestions?

I'm wondering how reliable muscle testing really is. Those who do it always seem to use Standard Process
formulas.  Much in the way that those who get tested on a Zyto machine are given products developed
by Dr. Bob Marshall who owns the company Premier Research labs.  SP was always prescribed by muscle
testing. I've had the experience of being a patient in both types of practices and still, my strongest
belief lies in the way Dr. D practices medicine....diet, and his specific formulas designed for specific
health issues.....

To experience muscle testing as a patient, it does appear to be believable feedback.  I still wonder and have always wondered about the placebo effect.  I'm not taking a side for or a side against muscle
testing.  I'm just not sure I believe what shows strength or weakness one minute will show strength or weakness hours later.  Our bodies are forever changing.  Being slightly dehydrated or even subconsciously projecting "good or bad" thoughts onto the experience by either the practitioner
or the patient.......I don't know....just something I've continually questioned since my first experience with those who did muscle testing.  And were selling just one particular brand of supplements called Standard Process.  Kind of cult-like in some way to me.

Just be aware that diets that focus on  deep healing don't always remain free of side effects.  Often other types of healing modalities drive toxins deeper into the body even if your symptoms improve.
A new and different symptom can appear.

Dr. D's diets will and should undo many years of lectin damage and you might find your detoxing isn't symptomatic of incompatibility with new supplements, but just a slight healing crisis, which can be taking place.

Just preparing you....because any chiropractor who scoffs at Dr. D's diet and manages to prove to
you you by muscle testing that you're weaker on Dr. D's formulas while you healed on his protocol....I sort of question his ego!  :)

Yeah, I keep telling myself that Doc, at age 80, just doesn't want to look into anything new.  He's retired now and doesn't make any money selling the product.  And, like I mentioned before, he's an O which I believe would incur far less damage than us A's.  He had never heard of Blood Type Diet until I discussed it with him at our first visit over 3 years ago.

Thank you for your insight.  I'm pretty convinced to stick with Dr. D's protocol and eat as closely to my diamonds and benies as possible, supplementing beyond the basics only when symptoms arise and as needed only.

Curious thing, though...  After ordering the Teacher 3 Pack and the SWAMI recommended ARA6; I went back to the bottom of my SWAMI report and the recommended supplements had changed!  Now SWAMI recommends the Teacher 3-pack, Deflect, and a Protein something or other. ?????

Is it intelligent enough to know that I ordered the ARA6 (I did it online) and after I finish that, it now recommends me to move onto the Deflect and Protein something or other?????

I'm hoping that's the reason.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Don't know the answer to your question but ARA6 is pretty good for everyone.  It's in some of the supplements and I've ordered it and mix it and Trehalose into my juice in the mornings.

Sorry to say, SWAMI has no clue what you ordered online.

Did you possibly change what C Sharp pointed out to you in his post on another thread (I forget
which one but I remember explaining something to you in long detail about supplements)

Found it....read last post by C sharp on this thread
http://www.dadamo.com/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?m-1373551232/

Remember, C sharp said if you change (from the pull down menu)  how much or how little you request that SWAMI suggest supplements for you...only if you asked for everything SWAMI could recommend to you would you be getting more products than the first time where your setting might have been set for just THE most important supplements.

Deflect....can't say for sure if you absolutely have to buy it now....Really depends on your
state of health and how much you wish to start out with in the way of supplements as the
diet is really the key...

And the type A protein powder would be good as a breakfast shake or really any time but personally speaking, it's just a food product and not required nor necessary that you use it.
Tofu, tempeh, soy beans or any soy protein powder sold in a health food store could work too
if you're someone who likes shakes.  Just know that the protein powder for type A is virtually
tasteless.  No sweeteners.  I rarely use my type A soy powder.  I prefer a brand I have that uses
sprouted soy powder.  Just my personal preference.

If I were you, I'd start out simple and see how you do with the diet and a few supplements....and then re-assess after a few months.  You can always check the health protocols.....see if you need or want to focus on something specific.  This doesn't have to be complicated.   If you've got SWAMI, you're really starting in the strongest place possible.  The diet is powerful!

Chloe, thanks again for such a helpful answer.  Concerning the above part of your answer, my answer is No, I did not change those settings before I discovered the switch in recommended products.  Thanks for referring me back to C-Sharp's answer, though, as I had missed it the 1st time.  I did go back and ask for a complete report.

I'm glad the ARA6 was recommended at first because I can tell that it is working.  I think Larch may be in some of the other products I'll be getting, so I'll play it by ear and be happy the diet is so powerful.   ;D

The ARA6 (larch fiber) is one of my very favorite supplements and I've been using it daily for 10 years.  It works on so many levels to heal and protect the intestines and build a strong and appropriate immune system.

I have had muscle testing done early on some of it agreed with Dr D some didn't. but Dr D turned out to be completely right on everything, so i know who i would bet on.

I have found that when dealing with critics that are friends, doctors and surgeons and the like that i just don't bother discussing it with them any more. while i get healthy they are dumbfounded and they are all getting ill. a shame really but they are just not open to anything outside their way.

Thanks for the assurance, PolicyChecker.

Yes, that is my plan.  To continue on Dr. D's. and still allow Doc to test me every few months on the old S.P. supps.  It would be wonderful for him to ask me someday why I'm so improved.  Maybe it would at least convince my husband if he heard his friend, the Doc, say so.   :)
