Hi
Just wondering if anyone has had a complete stool analysis done and if it was worth it?
I have so many intolerances to foods, a lot of my allowed / beneficial foods I am intolerant to.  I have been taking l-glutamine to help heal, digestive enzymes and probiotics for some time.  I am wondering if the stool analysis would give me some answers.
Thanks

had stool analysis in 2011, ordered by gut specialist - G.I. medical doctor.  Evidence of paristes, I declined pharmaceutical drugs, instead I did a 9 day deep colon cleanse, a large amount of mucoid laque exited from my body over about 3 days or so.  I then have continued to think of my diet/better nutrition.  At present, trying to increase proteins especially seafood/fish. soft boiled eggs also agree with me, and will slowly try to increase red meat.  some duck is nice, plus a little chicken. of course, lots of low starch vegetables esp the greens. I do include sweet potato as is a type O superfood. am looking at elimination of all grains including gluten free seed-like grains, and all legumes.  Dairy foods, just a little butter, ghee and perhaps goats yoghurt but may ditch the yoghurt too. This morning felt better with cod/sardines/egg and steamed vegetables such broccoli, pumpkin/squash, ginger.  a little soaked arame (sea veg) as well. May combine some GT guidelines with paleo.  Fruits, not much at present but if I do include, will be seasonal low-fructose fruits if possible. stewed or cooked apple/pear as I improve my gut/general health.

I will be paying for it, its about $300 AUD.

I wont be taking any pharm. drugs either, but I am thinking if I know exactly what I am dealing with either parasites, candida or something else I can treat holistically/naturally.

Seeing the GP in 2 weeks she is hard to get into.  She works in a holistic health centre, although she is a GP she promotes preventative and natural health care and specialises in digestive issues.

Will let you know the results :)
