I have the Complete Blood Type Encyclopedia Copyright 2002-is there another updated version
also  when it says non-secretor variant: beneficial my question is the word variant- should I be concerned? I mean because I am a non-secretor variant just means what I am? 8)

Yes, non-secretor variant should refer to those who are non-secretors.

Got a page number? I'll look at the context.

There's the secretor variant and the non-secretor variant. The two secretor "varieties" of type O.

Don't let the technical term confuse you.

The 2002 version of the Encyclopedia is the current edition.

Any updates to food values since that time are reflected in type base (there are not many):

Yeah, variant means a variety.  It's not a dangerous or derogatory flag.  :D
