Today Dr. Oz recommended Monk Fruit to use as a safe, low glycemic sweetener.  How does this compare to stevia

Read the product label. The stuff featured on Dr. Oz contains the following
Ingredients: Erythritol, Sugar, Monk Fruit Extract, Molasses

I prefer monk fruit over stevia, but only used it once in a recipe.  Stevia, I don't like at all.
This weekend I'm making pumpkin muffins, using Just Like Sugar, and maybe a little coconut sugar; as I haven't yet bought veg glycerin, even though I did see it at a shop a couple months ago.  will use flax, coconut and almond meal for the muffins.
Some sweeteners can act as a strong laxative, as I found out in the past.
I'm still not sure about yacon syrup, is anyone using yacon?
