Ok I had this dry mouth and horrid breath come on about 5 days ago.  The bad breath came on first, followed by the dry mouth a couple of days ago.  Last week I ate some fermented vegetable (fermented with lemon juice, not vinegar), that I think had gone bad; and also I have a couple of tooth retainers that I wear at night and possibly I did not brush them good enough and the bacteria grew on the retainer and in my mouth.  The breath is pretty horrible and the dry mouth is awful to deal with.  

I went to the doc today and spent $91 only to have her look baffled and offer to put me on some kind of Candida medication.  She doesn't know much about candida or if it's even candida, so she wants to start with this and maybe do a stool sample.  She thinks maybe it's systemic.  The only thing is that it's not showing up in my privates.

So I checked the Encyclopedia and am going to follow the protocols for Denture Stomatitis and for Fungal Disease, Candidiasis (Oral Thrush) and pray for relief.  I also purchased some special toothpaste and natural mouthwash to help me until whatever this is heals.

At mealtime I have lately been famished and can barely get dinner ready before big hunger stress kicks in.  My stomach has not been completely happy either.  Bowel moments have been not very solid and they have not been on time lately.

I use Larch on a daily basis and take a good probiotic.  

In following the protocols, today I added Stinging Nettle Root and Astragalus and as well I have to purchase some Caprylic acid.   I will also use some of the probiotic and mix it with some warm water and do a mouth swish.  

I do not want to follow any candida diet as I'm following my swami and Dr. D does not say anything about following any kind of special eating regime in the Encyclopedia. Plus I don't even know if this is truly Thrush.

I have great dental hygiene and the dentist did not inform me of any pockets or any decay upon my last visit which was just recently.

My tongue is a bit white and besides my mouth being very dry my throat is extremely dry. Also I do have quite a bit of fatigue here and there throughout the day.

At first I thought maybe the Hunter eating regime was putting me into Ketosis, but I don't think that's possible with the amount of carbs I get from the daily bread serving I eat and all the fruits and vegies.

So please if anyone has suggestions, ideas, thoughts, etc., on what this might be, please talk to me!  Also if anyone feels that this truly might be candida, what do you suggest besides what I listed above as far as what I'm going to do to try and get rid of this!

try the liver cleanse in the book....
followed by the yeast fungus guidelines....
use the search feature for past discussions on the issue and learn from others how they went about adapting their guidelines for this purpose

Buy some cheap Peroxide.. put some in a glass and add warm water.. swish your mouth until all the oxygen has dissipated .. do that several times.. then rinse with warm water..

Drink a glass of lemonade minus sugar.. stay away from sugar anything.  

With the retainers rinse soak them in the same Peroxide..but shake to release the oxygen.

It is the first aid for the mouth any time.. do not swallow.

You can do this every day for 6 weeks then stop for 6 weeks .. or just once in a while..

Thank you Goldie.. yes I'm readying that Oxygen has alot to do with the bacteria growth.....
I've read also that I'm supposed to open a probiotic cap and put in warm water and swish... ?

Frankly, this sounds very much like the detox issues that I am dealing with...  Following good diet practice as well as good oral hygiene and keeping up with the body systems that need help is as much as you can do, except maintaining a healthy supply of patience while the body heals and cleans out all of the stored junk and heals.

wow.. that makes me feel much better knowing that I'm not alone in this... i'm slowly cutting out all Black Dots.  The only one i haven't quite gotten stopped yet is soy/almond milk.  it dosen't have additives but it's a black dot regardless.

Also my ghee portion is so small.  It's a beneficial but i only get 1 tsp every few days.  i have not been following that at all!!!

Eat 9 to 10 cups of cooked vegetables everyday - liver needs this and then - a person won't need to spend money on liver cleansing kits/products. The intestines need lots of vegetables every day to work well and absorb nutrients, etc.  Most people are also lacking in minerals.  Find a sauna/steam room to sit in, or build sauna at home - see http://www.drwilson.com  for more on infra-red sauna use.   Get a hair mineral and heavy metal toxicity test done as soon you are able to - I am very glad I did this myself.  Eat three decent meals a day at the same time, avoid snacking.  Don't eat after 6:30pm or so.  Sometimes, just eat a mono meal as last meal of the day - say cooked carrot/swede (rutabaga).  or two foods, ie sardines/lamb with one veg like spinach/broccoli.  Pills/supplements may help, but they are not like real foods which sweep intestines clean, and add natural nutrients the body is starving for and needs every day.  also some supplements also require energy to break down, and may only deal with symptoms, not the root causes of the problem.

not wise to take any pharmaceutical prescribed medication/medicine.  This I would not consider at all.  Omit / take out the fruit from your diet, not necessary - see http://www.drwilson.com for his take on the problems with fruit.  Eat lots of cooked VEGETABLES every day, esp broccoli, spinach, chard, onions, radish, daikon, bok choi, rutabaga(swede), turnip, carrot, pumpkin(hard squash), ginger root, with the proteins (fish, lamb, poultry, eggs).  Organic ghee or butter with veg.   some brown rice, or other gluten-free complex grain type carbohydrate ok, esp as last meal of the day.  Get a hair mineral and heavy metal toxicity test done when your finances allow, it is well worth it.  A little raw garlic over your cooked vegetables good too.

Antifungal medications have their place- but this isn't it. Drugs are for serious, acute infections(when it's not safe to wait for natural remedies to work) , or for treating a diagnosed infection when natural remedies have been tried and don't work. If you don't even know if it's fungal, the drugs are a really bad idea.

The peroxide suggestion is a good one- oral thrush can definitely come from getting lazy with the retainer hygiene. Sterilize or replace your toothbrush- maybe even get a multi-pack of cheap toothbrushes and replace them frequently until this is cleared up.

Stick to SWAMI, not random nutritional guidelines- but it may be wise to cut back on fruit (increasing veggies to compensate) for  a week or so. SWAMI gives general nutritional guidelines, but isn't flexible with regard to short-term changes for illness. Adding in some raw garlic (if garlic is compliant for you) can't hurt either.

Some Thrush is RED.. all over.  If that is present and maybe even painful, then I would get the swisch and spit or gargle.. I forgot.. medicine..

It will take some attention to get rid of it.  But in a few days you can see a difference.

After that I would cut down on fruit, according to Swami portions.  Vegetables would be way safer.

By now however you ought to have seen great improvements.. by just reading stuff on here?

How are you ?  what have you tried so far? and what are you eating now?

one other thing I might suggest, if you have lots of gas in the intestines, take some deep green vegetables and juice them or buy dark green 'juice' to release 'oxygen', but that is not the 'word' I am searching for.   (Aallllzheimers)... but a healthfood place would know what I mean.. that green juice will support and clean out the junk on the whole boy...

Carrots might also be to sugary.  Read all the books you have on what you ought to consider a good mix of foods and sweets/fruits..

If your tongue is white with it, brushing it with salt helps clear that up.  Tastes horrible, so you'll want to do it over the sink.  Alternate with the peroxide rinses.  Mild salt water rinses also help with the dryness.  Avoid mouthwashes with alcohol in them.

To Lola - I am not a practioner, why do you ask? I do however have three health related qualifications and have worked professinally, including three years working in a large hospital.  No, I don't work for Dr Wilson Lola - I think it is good to consider and read other viewpoints to gain a deeper understanding and more insight.  I think Dr D would not mind if we read other books or view other sites as I am sure many people are doing, I prefer to keep an open mind and when I don't understand something or there is no explanation, for example on coconut oil or quinoa or legumes, then naturally I am going to keep reading, researching as I feel better when I really understand something. Sometimes, just following the BT or GT diet does not necessarily bring results for everyone, if something is missing as we are individuals and may need more information, this was not in the BTD books I read nor the GT book. According to BTD I can eat gluten free grains and if I followed GT, then I could eat tropical fruits. this is not the case for me, as I tend to do best with proteins and vegetables most of the time! thanks for asking, and I hope everyone is welcome to add viewpoints and opinions on this forum.

Yes!  

If not that, then this site becomes responsible for when things don't work.  'viewpoints and opinions on this forum' are essential to make it legally viable and safe.  If it was only about BTD, it would become a prescription for disaster.  'viewpoints and opinions on this forum' have to be open for discussion or it becomes something other than a Forum.  By the very varied 'viewpoints and opinions' expressed here does it stay viable.

I have found that I can only have 'sweets' in such limited ways that I nearly consider them desserts. For me desserts spells (backward) = stressed.

I do eat way less then I did before accepting being prone to be Diabetic.  As sugar became on issues for me / with aging/  I had to recognize that any sugar is in need of scrutiny.

Eating fruits and even occasional avoids is needed for health.  Yet, when I overdo it, then I have to blame my actions .. not blame the BTD diet.

Aussie.... You are right, vegetables are important to internal health.  Dry mouth is in need of fixing from within. More varied food will help greatly. Maybe even Peppermint tea might help, as eating some 'spices' for variety, even some 'bitters' might help stimulate.  

For dry mouth/intestines;

I would most likely start juicing, not fruits, but green leafy things and colored vegetables.  In juice form the body can absorb nutrients more easily.  Juicing vegetables, in my experience is well worth the effort. I would not mix them with fruit..

Dr. Bernard Jensen said early in the last Century: Eat your fruit whole and drink your vegetables. I think he was right.


One other way we can stimulate the salivary glands in the mouth is by holding pure lemon juice in the mouth, or find verrrrry sour candy and eat a handful to pucker the cheeks.. to open the glands... and maybe even go see a chiropractor as sometimes the neck can cause blockages.

Castor oil penetrates deep into the skin thanks to its molecular mass, which is low enough to
