BTD Forums  /  SWAMI Xpress  /  Any Ideas?

I know, I know, patience is a virtue, but I am not very virtious. Does any one have any idea when the updates will be out? Last summer Dr. D said one fine day. It has been what seems like forever since it was first mentioned - what almost three years now??? I really would love to be able to enter vegan and  have proper portions for vegetable protein. I would love to see the other changes as well. I know they want to get all the bugs out before it is released, but so many of us are eagerly waiting it. Any news of when we might be able to expect it?  :)

Did Dr. D say he would do a vegan diet? I am not sure he ever would-- even A's need some eggs and fish to stay healthy.

I am not personally tracking the updates. C_sharp might have a better idea. Things tend to run on "D'Adamo time".

I have no inside knowledge of when a new version will be released.  The software is close and most new features have been tested. I expect it in the near term.

Dr. D did say in a post that A's are the only ones that could do well on a vegan diet - it is in an older thread - I don't remember the title of the thread. I don't think he actually recommended it, but did say they could do well on it. I have been eating vegan - with only a few exceptions - I posted about trying to add different things back in- without success - for over two years. I have been very successful - lost over 80 pounds come off diabetic, blood pressure and thyriod medicines. Hit a plateau in weight loss - the reason for trying to add things back in, but found sticking with what works is best. Listening to your body is key. It is not for everyone, but it works for me.

Are you meaning an update for the Swami Xpress?  I know on the Swami Geno (Pro) you can select a special diet eg Vegan, Vegetarian, Kosher etc.

That feature is supposed to become available in SWAMI Xpress in the next release.

Most new features of SWAMI Xpress are first tested in SWAMI GenoType before being included in SWAMI Xpress. This allows the trained practitioners to fully test the new features to be sure they work correctly before the feature is included in the SWAMI Xpress software.

You can't do a vegan diet in the professional version of SWAMI. I guess you could chose some things to eliminate but I don't think that the consumer version will ever allow that.

I don't think being vegan is all that bad in the short term but as we age our bodies require different things-- open minds always  ;).

I have heard Dr. D tell patients that eggs are important to eat when they want to be vegan-- I understand you veganism and respect your choice.

I just am not sure that the update will satisfy your desire for a vegan setting.
