Chamomile tea switches off killer cancer cells, researchers discover

Could chamomile tea prove to be a more effective cancer fighter than chemotherapy?  Although it may sound absurd, researchers have discovered this week that the tea—along with parsley and celery—is rich in a compound that ‘reminds’ cancer cells to die.
The key compound is apigenin, and along with the tea, is found in many fruits and vegetables—effectively, in all the plant-based foods that make up the Mediterranean diet, say researchers at the Ohio State University.
They have tested the compound on breast cancer cells, and discovered that it switches back on a natural process known as apoptosis, or cell death.  Cancer cells have lost their ability to die, and so grow inexorably, often resulting in the death of the host.
Apigenin also binds with 160 proteins, creating a complex healing process that is anti-inflammatory, whereas a pharmaceutical drug targets just one molecule, the researchers say.

if yo'd go for intravenous issues.. why not... if not calculate the so called *first pass effect* ,) ;D.... the same for Vit. C infusions... it does the same as chemo should do so... but Vit. C not only appears likewise but relly kills ca-celss! :D
The same for salvestroles and certain beta glucans  ;D.... But as usual... *ot can't be what not can be (expected) ::) so far we are still denyd here ... :P >:((mad)(dead)(think) from mass believe systems..... :o :-/(shrug)
I think the comparison to the fact that it ...should...must hurt a bit more then usual can't be downed here as well...(huh)(evil)(disappointed)

Absolutely, go for both of them, not only occasionally, but daily. Very fortifying, especially when freshly juiced every morning together with unpeeled zucchini, romain lettuce, half an apple (opt.) [or quarter of beet root].

And re anticancer, among other foods, all foods that contain salvestrols. They are all around, plenty of them, probably many of them are your swami superfoods.

Chamomile tea with green tea is an anti-cancer/anti-aging genoharmonic combination on my SWAMI, so I make a great big pitcher in the iced tea maker and have it handy for the week :D

Chrissy,
I have the same combo on my swami! Also cranberry juice!  :)
I usually make a very diluted sun tea with acai berry/green tea bags but now will try the chamomile, green with a splash of cranberry juice! ;)
