Some issues are our own - are we all short legged?  

How are we sensitive to dairy? are the new cheeses ok?

Sugar always on issue?

Do you have blueberries as avoid?

Salacia is a genus of plants in the family Celastraceae. One species in particular, Salacia oblonga, used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine, is increasingly becoming the subject of considerable medical interest because of its potential as an anti-diabetic agent. Salacia oblonga is found in Glycoscia, Dr. D'Adamo's formulation that balances blood sugar and supports insulin level regulation.

Alpha-glucosidase inhibitors are used to establish greater glycemic control over hyperglycemia in diabetes mellitus type 2, particularly with regard to the postprandial hyperglycemia. They may be used in conjunction with an appropriate diabetic diet and exercise, or they may be used in conjunction with other anti-diabetic drugs. Inhibition of these enzyme systems reduces the rate of digestion of complex carbohydrates. Less glucose is absorbed because the carbohydrates are not broken down into the simpler, rapidly assimilable glucose molecules. In diabetic patients, the short-term effect of these drug therapies is to decrease current blood glucose levels: the long term effect is a modest reduction in hemoglobin A1c level.

I just looked up what I might wish to try.. Chicory as a coffee substitute.. and its Beneficial for me.

If you can find chicory without "avoid" additives. Whatever happened to drinking unsweetened cocoa powder in water?

I have blueberries as a "beneficial" but I have yet to figure out how to include fruit in my diet without my appetite and blood sugar going haywire.

Ruthie - I have the exact same problem as you re fruit, but am ok only & IF I go for fruits that are lower in fructose than glucose...?! Apricots are great & oranges are ok (although with oranges I only eat a few segments at a time) Bananas are probably ok too as long as only just ripe... (although am yet to trial again)

Good question... Goldie are you still drinking cocoa in hot water?

I tend to have my fruit in a blender drink with Protein powder for O's, chia seeds, olive oil, ARA6, and Harmonia.  I usually add raspberries, blueberries and mango.  I'm sure all the things I add help stabilizer  my reaction to the fruit.

blueberries are a neutral for me
sugar is always a problem
sensitive to dairy. recently re-discovered cottage cheese and it is very addictive for me so i can't have it any more.
i quit coffee about 4 times a year but i always go back. i was drinking Chofffy for a while and i really enjoyed it, but it is very expensive at $15 per 12 oz.
and yes short legged!

I noticed a mention of chicory as a coffee replacement - where would one find such a thing?  I LOVE coffee with chicory, so I think I could very happily make that switch!  :D

I find roasted chicory root at my local hfs in the bulk section.
