Has anybody tried halogen ovens? Are there any health risks?

I was given one as a gift but haven't used it yet as I too questioned whether it was similar to microwaves...

It's just radiant heat. Not like microwaves which excite molecules, creating friction--> heat, (possibly damaging the molecular structure to a yet unknown consequence).
