I have not checked the list for blood type A and I can't find anything on this website or The book, does anyone know?

I don't know of a rating for Maca.  For unrated foods, consider neutral unless you have a negative reaction...

I've taken Maca (the powdered form).  It is in the radish family.  Depending what you are taking it for I would start out with a very low amount.  On the jar I bought they recommend half a teaspoon.

It will give you incredible energy, balance your hormones, and make you frisky.  It is not recommended to take Maca for a long period of time.

That's all I can tell you.  As you can see, I am an A bloodtype also.

I used to take less than half a teaspoon of maca mixed with a juice and wound up taking it every other day.  It definitely increased my energy level, et al.

Even though it is not bloodtype specific the site listed does mention as a source for information about maca.  

It truly depends on how and what it is being used for with each person.  

The side effects are concerned with thyroid issues so anyone considering taking it has to do their research and check with their physician first.  

It definitely increases energy as a lot of comments mention.  Athletes of all bloodtypes take it.
