Are B's eating meat/fish once/day, twice/day, at every meal?
Or are we thriving on mostly eggs/cheese and nuts/beans, adding meat a few to several times a week?

I have voted animal flesh once per day - but that is actually not correct  for me
- but just the way I eat due to economy.

I eat eggs almost every morning / can be yoghurt in summer.

I eat cheese on most days (or cold fish in weekends) for lunch

and almost always meat at dinner since I share with my O-

However I would benefit for eating more meat and especially fish.

My type B son eats a lot of dairy, and would happily live on nothing but grains and dairy if I let him. I try to get him to eat meat or fish at least once per day, as well as to have some beans or seeds a few times a week. I'm also trying to get him to eat more fruits and vegetables.

None of the poll options quite fit. He doesn't have animal flesh every single day, as most of his protein comes from dairy, but his intake of meat or fish is more than "occasionally"

I only voted once for my B sons, but they both eat meat approximately twice a day consisting of lamb, turkey, or beef.

It varies. Usually eggs in the morning but either turkey, red meat, or fish at both of the other two meals. Sometimes dried beans instead at night but they are usually flavored with turkey. I don't do well with just dairy as the protein component of a meal. Nuts are generally eaten in between meals.

There wasn't a choice for me.

4 and sometimes 5 days a week.  I eat lamb with lunch and fish with dinner.

2 days a week, I eat beans/quinoa with lunch and fish with dinner.

One day a week, I eat turkey with lunch and a big vegetable/nut meal for dinner.

I don't consider it a schedule.  I just eat lamb as often as I want to and it ends up being several days in a row - then I don't want it.  And I feel like a couple of days with no red meat and I love my 2-bean (navy and great northern) stew cooked in bone stock.  So I have that for one or two days and then I find myself hungry for turkey thigh.  Sometimes I'll mix ground turkey with a bit of cooked grass-fed beef marrow for richness, and stir-fry it with onions.  Other times, I'll make a 'burger' and eat it with green beans, etc.  I just eat what I want.

And I seem to want wild chinook salmon nearly every day, but sometimes I'll be hungry for this really good brand of sardines that I get.  Sometimes I'm tired of fish, but that only happens one or maybe two days a week.

So that's my kitchen dance.  Everything gets eaten with a ton of vegetables of all shapes and colors.  :)

I voted two meals/day:

4 or 5 days a week for lunch I normally have a salad with roast beef and mozzarella cheese.  2 or 3 days I have yogurt. For dinner I usually have meat or fish.  Sometimes I’ll mix an egg in rice with vegies for dinner.  For breakfast I have a protein shake unless I’m traveling then an egg.

I voted twice, but it's sometimes thrice. If I could tolerate eggs/dairy... heck, it would probably still be twice, but I'd be getting more protein and fat in my diet.

Several times per week, wild salmon is approx. 5 ounces.  If I eat a can of sardines, it's around 4 ounces.  I usually eat some kind of fish every day.

If I eat a turkey burger, it's 5 or 6 ounces.

The amount of lamb I get in my lamb stew is around 3 ounces.

I dont  measure
When I eat meat and fish  at dinnerI eat aprox 5-6 oz  - at lunch less maybe 3-4 oz

My guess is that most of the time my meat portions are on the small side.
But a couple of times a week, perhaps, I might have what most would call a more serious-sized portion?

The one I know for sure is: Tuna; when I have tuna it is virtually always from a 3 oz. can, and I eat the whole thing.

I'd add that when I've been on weight-loss diets, during the past, oh, 15-20 years, I've done very well to eat: 1 ounce protein at breakfast, 3 ounces protein at lunch, and 6 ounces protein at dinner (with, yes, 3 meals/day).

The general rule is that a protein portion should be about the size of the palm of your hand. That works out to 3-5 oz for most people- large people eat larger portions, smaller people eat smaller portions.

Of course, the whole system breaks down with an 11yo boy with extremely large hands and feet in proportion to the rest of his body. But it's not like he's  being super-cautious with his portion sizes anyway. I'm trying to get him to eat more fruits and veggies, and have some protein that isn't from dairy each day.

My individuality doesn't necessarily conform to "general rules".
But if that's what you do, I definitely respect that.  :)

I eat about 2 ounces of animal protein 3x a day. snacks would be perhaps some nuts and veggies
I'm trying to determine if I'm getting enough protein. I do very low carb (all green veggies) I think moderate protein (about 40-45g ) and higher fat. This combo does miracles for my blood sugar but I want to make sure I get enough animal protein.

I think you should start such a thread with your question. There are many O's here who have chimed in on this question in the past, and their needs are different from that of type B, which is the subject of this thread. I suggest you put "type O" in the title, so that it attracts answers from people of your type.

I rarely have a meal without protein. Meat and eggs are the usual choices but I also consume fish and protein powders.

At the current time I am experiencing Leaky Gut, my diet is almost all animal proteins.

Breakfast: 3 fried eggs in Ghee
                1 oz ( 1/4 cup) turkey
                sometimes goat cheese
                16 oz Kefir

Lunch       Beef or lamb soup with winter squash and zucchini, broth, eggs
                OR scrambled eggs in Ghee
                 16 oz kefir

Dinner       Steak or lamb steak or chops
                Home grown canned green beans
                twice a week, home canned apple sauce

A few weeks ago I tried to introduce nut butter, but it tore me up and I was no longer able to eat onion or garlic in my soup.  Then I tried to eat 1 tsp of sauerkraut juice and it threw me into a zombie state for 3 days.  When I got to where I could function and did some research and something some one had posted on this site, I think I have reactions to Sulfer. - that is along with cruciferous and oxalate plants....  It puts most veggies out of the running for me!!! I now know why as a child, I never ate any of them!!!

Rev144 you might be able to eat them later ?
I have had severe gut reaction and followed GAPS diet for a few months ( with B OK food)
and seem to be able to handle most stuff except  most grains.
