I have been reading about the controversy over folic acid and folates. So I understand that folic acid is the synthetic form of folates and has now been proven to cause colon cancer. Experts on this subject say we should be avoiding synthetic folic acid and make sure our supplements contains the natural form: Folate.

Question: Do Dr. D's supplements that contain folic acid have the synthetic stuff or the natural folates? How is one to know?

I don't think they have "proven" anything. Plenty of other experts think otherwise. What I'm wondering is what else they did to wheat besides adding folic acid when this "study" started. In addition to that, obesity has become epidemic in this country, and that would affect the statistics. I have been taking folic acid for many decades and never had a hint of cancer of the colon. I have a colonoscopy every few years. I wouldn't worry about Dr. D.'s supplements if I were you.
