Finally got around to making black bean brownies.. OMG they taste like a regular brownie!!
Put some of that chocolate avacado pudding on it as a frosting.. I bet that would taste good.
I put chopped walnuts and semi sweet morsals on the top before baking. Yummo.

My O son just ate one and he said it tasted good but he tasted the consistency of the black beans..
He finished it though.   ;D

My mom ate one of mine and she said "they're good but I wouldn't write home about them", then proceeded to eat 3 more. ::)

My stomach does like them... no gluten or grains.  A nice not so bad treat for the holidays.

Mayflowers, this is a treat I allow myself most days for breakfast! I use glycerin to sweeten mine.  :)

I use dates; medjool dates. I've not tried any other sweetener, though...

Does that affect the consistency being squishy?  I do love dates. :)

Dear oh dear, these look too good.
Too bad black beans are an avoid for me, while wheat isn't.  :D

If you want to try them, you could probably sub a different bean that is compliant for you...

I make mine with adzuki beans that I soak, sprout and then cook!  :)

now this is good news all around..

if you say sprout.. do you mean soak over night, or actually sprout and yse the fleshy parts from the sprout?

Can some of you share the recipe? How many beans to a brownie?? How much agave, do they keep for a day or so?  Freeze well?  stay chewy?.. with nuts yamm

would it not be nice.. choc pudding yamm .. need to find a way to just LOOK at them..

Oh! That's not the one I make...I got my recipe from Chloe, who posted it from a website...the one's I make have 6 ingredients: black beans, almond butter, medjool dates, vanilla, unsweetened cocoa powder, and chia seeds. ;D

This is the recipe Drea is referring to:

Notice it bakes at a super low temperature for a really long time.

Ingredients
2 cups cooked black beans or canned no-salt-added or low-sodium black beans, drained
10 Medjool dates
2 tbsp raw almond butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup natural, non-alkalized cocoa powder
1 tbsp ground chia seed
Raspberries or other berries for topping

Directions
Preheat oven to 200° F.

Blend the black beans, dates, almond butter and vanilla in a food processor or high powered blender until smooth.

Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. Pour into a very lightly oiled 8 x 8 inch baking pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours.

Cool completely before cutting into small squares. Top with raspberries or other berries.

Wheat isn't an avoid for me either.. I just developed a wheat intolerance now. Must be age related.  :(

I got mine from Dr. Oz.

1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed
3 eggs
1/3 cup butter melted or compliant fat. I used canola oil
1/4 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup coconut sugar or compliant sweenter  I used evaporated cane juice
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup chopped walnuts or compliant nut

Preheat oven to 350. Combine all ingredients except last 2 in food processor until smooth. Pour into
brownie pan sprayed with cooking spray or buttered. Sprinkle choc chips on top and then sprinkle chopped walnuts on top..slightly push into batter. Bake for 40-50 mins. I inserted a knife after 40 mins and it came out clean. It was done. (use the sweetner to taste. I used a 1/2 cup of sugar because I don't like things too sweet)
