Hi there my fellow Explorers!

Being French, I cannot cope with the idea of having fish and veg for breakfast.

There is basically two things I can have for breakfast then:

rice cakes + homemade chocolate spread
puffed rice +almond milk

Unfortunately, I like diversity...

Does anyone have a suggestion for a more "traditionnal" compliant breakfast?

Most of the world today eats grains, sugars, and dairy for breakfast; with little to no meat,fish, beans, or vegetables at breakfast time. Most people on this website (especially O's!!!!) have had to re-think breakfast, and learn to eat "lunch and dinner foods" at breakfast time.

It's all down to how important your health is to you, eventually people reaslise they have to change or they get more sick, more tired and more grumpy.

once you make the effort to change it becomes fairly easy.

if for example you don't like fish.... if it is put in front of you and you add lemon juice and eat a small bit of the fish before anything else it a customises you taste buds and from then on they will taste fine. it's all about just getting on with it in my opinion.

If however you need or love drama then it can become dram lol

scrambled eggs or boiled eggs...then I can have bifidus yogi's nature or with fruits in but without any sugar and no apples at all !!! Or some quark cheese & fruit topics
You might go for a typical swiss muessli with oat brans-fruits and ??)...all what is ok on top of your foodlists ;) ;D
puffed rice or quinoa or other seeds and I also guess glutenfree cereales ??)but ok oats do also contain some gluten  and gliadin if I remember it well :-/ spelt might be another option.... :D

I just made some pancakes using rice flour, ground flax seeds, ground almonds, eggs, oil, lime juice and baking soda.  Topped with maple syrup or fruit syrup, they are great...

If you can have yogurt, go for a serving of plain full fat yogurt with berries and nuts.

Muffins made of almond flour, rice flour, teff, eggs, baking soda, salt, EVOO, agave with dried cranberries or blueberries.  Make a big batch. Freeze some. Eat with ghee. And a glass of compliant juice.

edit to add:  canned pumpkin or applesauce add moisture and flavor.

A couple hot breakfast ideas we frequently eat in our home are cooked amaranth or cooked rice cereal (brown rice grits). I stir in either my own homemade almond, rice, or walnut milk with agave syrup or honey (maple syrup would be compliant for you) and then we all add our own compliant raw nuts and/or berries.

Trust me, you can find ways to incorporate more variety into your breakfasts. I have to prepare meals for 3 blood types, varying secretor statuses, and multiple genotypes and I am successfully finding a way to make it work and keep my family healthy (for the most part).

ok....my take on it according to my SWAMI-a-la-nonnie....and, since my metabolism is happy with 2 meals a day, lunch being the biggest:

Breakfast would be a snack, because I am not "hungry" but need to get my system going lightly, to wake up the brain and yet get all the "muck" out that can cleanse from my body overnight:

Glass of lemon water
sip right tea
Fruit parfait of tapioca pudding made of almond milk. :)
Vegetable juice, if something "more" is desired for fiber or minerals.

I need protein in the morning so I make a shake and drink it on the way to work.  Then I have a piece of fruit at work & later in the morning a rice cake.

How do you do a nice tapioca pudding? What I've tried so far wasn't really good....

Would you mind giving me the exact recipe?

I'm dying for a good compliant pancake recipe...
Are they American pancakes or like the French crepes?

I don't measure carefully when I make pancakes and rarely make them exactly the same due to different flour possibilities or who is going to be eating them.  DD likes a thicker cake and I like a thin one - although these hold together better when a little thicker - making them easier to turn.
Here is a starting point, though.

Also, this makes American pancakes, but if you add water to make a runny batter, you can probably make crepes - although they may not hold together well enough to turn...  

Pancakes
1 c. rice flour
3/4 c. ground flax seeds
3/4 c. ground almonds
3 eggs
1/2 c. olive oil
1 T. lime or lemon juice
1 T. baking soda
water to get desired consistency - start with about 1 1/2 c. and add more as needed.

Grease (using ghee or ?) the griddle and start heating it.
Mix dry ingredients in one bowl.
Mix wet ingredients in another bowl.
When the griddle is hot (water drops dance), start putting the batter on to make cakes the desired size.  Cook on one side until top of edges are cooking, then flip over for a couple of minutes to finish cooking.
