BTD Forums  /  Eat Right 4 Your Type  /  had some chicken

So, I am slowly trying to incorporate some chicken back into my plan.

Today, I had a weight training class- then 3 egg whites, 1 yolk. Veggies.
12- more vegetables
130- small salad with grill chicken and vegetables
630- another salad with grill chick, veggies and olive oil.

I am really low on money so I was trying to be as cost effective as possible and lets face it, chicken works when in a pinch.

I would have preferred grill fish, but did not have any and I had to get to the library to study more.

Had more energy in general but felt a little "stuffed"... hope this goes away the more I get back into my plan.

Thoughts?

do you pay for you weight training class? if so would it be possible to do a do it yourself version and spend the money on food.

It is amazing how much money can be saved when you concentrate on saving money.

on another point why have 3 egg white an one yolk. and what do you do with the remaining yolks you don't eat?

some people say that a salad should be eaten on its own to get the benefit from live enzymes. I do this occasionally.

I would have eaten 2 eggs for  breakfast instead of opening up 3 eggs and wasting 2 yolks.  That helps to save money too.

There's nothing wrong with an O eating chicken. I would have included some kind of fat with the lunchtime salad. If the chicken contained some fat (naturally and/or the way it was prepared) that would have sufficed. Dark meat is naturally higher in fats and usually less expensive than chicken breasts.

I do pay for the gym, but I love it. It is my place of safety and it will be the last thing I give up. Sorry, just being honest. I truly have a passion for the workout classes and it makes me happy when I go.

At this time, I do not have family and I am alone alot, so the gym is where I release any toxic energy built up from my studies or life itself.

Chicken... Ruthie, I have read numerous reports that chicken is high in Poly-unsaturated fats, but not sure about this.

Eggs... I do not like the taste of the yolk which is why I eat the whites. Just me I guess.
