All this while I had club soda at home and I never knew. I bought it during a booze party I organised at home for friends who would like to mix it with whisky. If I'm not wrong, club soda is good for O+ve gatherers right?

So when is the best time to have it and how? During meals? before/after meals? directly or mixed with lemon or something? how often?

Please advice  :)

thanks.

I usually drink mine with grapefruit juice, about 1/3 juice to 2/3 soda water. I drink mostly sparking  mineral water now. but the soda water works the same.  If I remember it's good for our high acid stomachs.  I don't drink it with meals, seems someone thinks we shouldn't drink anything at all with our meals. (sometimes I do and sometimes I don't)  Than others think you should drink a high acid drink before your meal to give it a head start. (that might be a one for all diet, as with a high stomach acid I wouldn't think we'd need a head start) But going by this I'd say you wouldn't want to drink soda water, just before you eat.

Typebase entry for Club Soda:

I'll leave it to Type O's about how /when, etc., but I don't think you can go wrong with some beneficial juice with it when following the portion size and frequency guides for the plan you are following.

First of all- welcome to the forum! I assume you're the same Neerav Kothari from the Facebook group? I'm Ruth Lanton over there (and in real life.)

Dr D posted somewhere that warm seltzer (carbonated water) is good between meals to reduce appetite. Since you're struggling with appetite control and cutting out sugar, you may benefit from drinking plain club soda between meals, when the sugar cravings hit.

I personally like making chocolate soda: I mix some cocoa powder in hot water with a little molasses (agave works too) and then add ice and carbonated water and stir. I don't have that every day, but it's nice for an afternoon pick-me-up if I'm especially tired that day.
