Hi there!

So...after sitting on the parasite purge tincture the ND gave me, I started the protocol three weeks ago. I've found that I only took two of the bottles instead of three. I just don't know if I can stomach the last bottle. It is giving me acid reflux on and off.

The parasite was diagnosed as a common one found in drinking water in the US and another of undetermined taxonomy. The yeast/fungus was  of undetermined taxonomy.

I have the BT Encyclopaedia, so I do not need to look in there again.

I've also been following Dr. James D'Adamo's hypoglycemia diet while on the purge. I feel weak. And I guess I am trying to be attentive to my body. I have SWAMI. Recommendations on diet, supplements, etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks!  :)

beware of parasite purges cause they end up devastating your ecosystem balance

here is a quote by Dr D on the subject

Quoted Text
I hate to tell you this, but that 'parasite cleanse' probably just
screwed up your digestive system's ecobalance, which is a shame
since ER4YT is a program that elegantly, if laboriously and slowly,
builds it up. Please, before you do a parasite cleanse, or whatever,
run basic conventional tests, like ova and parasites, to determine
if you really have the problem. Anyway, think about using the
probiotic for your blood type, and perhaps the amino sugar NAG
(n-actylated glucosamine) to begin to repair some of the damage.

don t forget parasites have bloodtypes too

I know nothing of Dr. J. D'Adamo's diets, but I would think that with the number of pieces of personal information input into SWAMI, that it would provide the most personalized diet for you.  Mix that with some digestive aids from DPN that seem targeted to the problem you are encountering and you should be good to go.

Oh wow! Good thing I didn't do a parasite cleanse!  :o Good to know Lola.. besides I eat so much garlic.. I know that garlic is one thing that actually has been proven to kill and prevent parasites.

I was just watching Animal Planet last night Monsters Inside Me and the had some fungal infections that one kid picked up, from dust blowing in the southwest area, and one picked  up  a bacterial infection from a lake.  The kid that picked up the infection from the lake was a flesh eating bacteria. The kid that got the fungal infection died.  :( He had a compromised immune system they didn't know about.

I don't know what these results mean? Can you explain further?

The parasite was diagnosed as Blastocystis hominis (a common parasite in drinking water) and another of unknown taxonomy. The yeast/fungus was 4+ (highest level) and of unknown taxonomy.

The ND I was seeing used a stool sample and sent it to a lab.

Lola - thanks! I sat on the three vials of parasite purge for 8 months. I cannot use the last one - I started to get severe acid reflux and SWAMI had fixed that.

I will buy some Polyflora and take the recommendation of NAP. Do you suggest Intrisa or something like that?

Thanks!!!  :)

ABJoe,

It is the hypoglycemia diet. I have been trying to lose weight for quite some time now. It eliminates alcohol, sugars (honey, sugar, etc.,) all fruit except for grapefruit, grains, and dairy for 5-8 weeks to reset the body and not have hypoglycemic bouts, sugar cravings, etc. I was doing well with SWAMI (and still use it,) yet was not losing weight. It also includes an exercise plan, which is walking for Bs.

I now realize that I was using way too much honey - 24 ounces in two weeks (and just read on my SWAMI report that sweeteners are not good for Nomads since they turn the body acidic) and drinking way too much wine. I was also abusing dairy and consuming way too many servings. I also realized that my exercise was too stressful on my body (Spinning) and I was correct in thinking that it was counterproductive for me. I used to think that after a certain point, my body stopped burning calories and started hoarding them because I was working so hard. On the contrary, when I mountain biked in Tahoe, I was a lean, mean machine.

I did get a huge patch of eczema in the colon center on my left hand and in the lower intestine center on my right hand after I ate tofu (one of the recommendations in the diet) - bad idea. SO BAD. It is an avoid on my SWAMI and should have remembered what a poor vegan I was.

I have lost seven pounds in two weeks and no longer crave wine and fruit (sugar.) It would be nice to have honey in my green tea and coffee on the weekends. I am ready to reintroduce yoghurt. I miss it. I think my body is asking me to add some probiotics. I have also been taking more coconut oil (bigger spoonfuls in my green tea) to heal my gut.

Melisa.

I have also dropped carbs this summer in an effort to lose weight. I dropped all grains and beans at the beginning of the summer, and did see some results. So, went deeper and dropped down to 40 grams of carbs a day for 12 weeks. I feel like it really set my metabolize. I added back about 40 to 60 grams back two weeks ago and I continue to  see improvement and weight loss. I have lost a total of 16 pounds, more than I have in four years. It really helped curb cravings also. 8)

Melisa,
It is great that you are seeing improvement - and see where you were missing parts of SWAMI's information.  The more I help others and read through my SWAMI report, the more I see and understand.  Keep learning and healing!

That is awesome!

Nomads really aren't supposed to cut too many carbs for too long. I believe I will be reintroducing them a lot sooner. During the week, the Assistant Principal at school (I am a teacher) was eating sliced fennel bulb and tangerine pieces. He offered me some and at first I refused, then took one piece of tangerine and one piece of fennel bulb. I went from feeling tired and sluggish to wide awake and energetic.

The weirdest for me is black coffee. At school, it is pretty gross. At least at home, I have better coffee. ;)

That is awesome about your weight loss! Congratulations! You are living your design, really. Keep up the great work!

Thank you!

I am learning quickly that I need more fruit. And I would love to return to my glass of wine or beer with dinner...I just feel as though it cleans the system.

Maybe have half a glass of wine or beer with dinner, instead of a whole  glass? And I assume you mean a gluten-free beer if you have Celiac?

Thanks, Ruth!

I have gone to half a glass to a whole glass of wine with dinner and not every night. I am focusing on genoharmonic food combinations and as luck would have it, white wine is on all but one of them!

Does Dr. D have a recommendation for people who have tested positive for parasites? (other than the maintenance advice in this quote)

There are 3 different parasites discussed in the Encyclopedia...

amoeba, giardia, and hookworm...

The recommended protocols for Type B for all 3 are:
Antibacterial, Antibiotic Support, and Intestinal Health
