On SWAMI Xpress, how many degrees of association strength are there for genotypes? For instance 46% + a bit is "strong", 45% - a bit is "good" and around 40% is adequate/moderate... are there any other brackets?! Just curious  :)

I think those strength ratings are specific to a GenoType.

Us AB's sometimes have lower percentages, because we can be so many types.  It's possible for me to be 4 types.  My Nomad percentage is 32%.  Which doesn't seem high.  And I also have strong Explorer and teacher traits.  So I file that in my memory bank.  But as for now, I'm listed as a Nomad.

Can this apply for someone who is type A, but has one parent who is O and one who is AB?  I feel like i have traits of all of the blood types (i guess i have the genetic traits of all of them instilled in me in some way) at least).  If i were B or AB, i could easily pass for a nomad.  My fingerprints are nomad type.  Most measurments are nomad like.  I think explorers and nomads are pretty similar in many ways.

It probably means you just missed being designated as a full-blown nomad by A HAIR when you were in the womb. I would have turned out Warrior if I had not been designated as an Explorer. And, if I had been marked for blood type B, I would have turned out to be a Teacher, in that order. So I know I had a Teacher in my family, but it was further back. Probably my grandfather on my mother's side. But if Warrior, then my father's side of the family.

I still share my maternal grandfather's eye color, and his penchant to stay up all hours of the night into the wee morning.....having a good time, to the detriment of his nervous system! (goofy)(wiseman)(think)

My dad is AB nomad and my grandma (dad's mom) is B nomad.  My grandpa was A, i think a warrior but his heart was healthy as could be at age 79, but he passed from parkinsons disease.  On my dad's side there are many AB's and many are nomad's or explorers, prob a warrior in there, a teacher (my dad is oldest of 10) and of 100 percent Lebanese/Phoenican descent on my dad's side.

My moms side is mostly O and some A with no B in it in recent times at least from what i know.  They are celtic/Irish ancestry with a shot of scotch;)

Both family sides are large, one from Lebanon, middle eastern area - other from Northern Celtic region.  prob have all six genotypes in my parents familys.  Me, my mom, and my dad have three differetn blood types, and if my sis is B, that makes a fam of four with four different blood types!!

But i think the blood type has its genetic traits it carries with it strongly even with other genetic influences that are subtle, guess that is where SWAMI comes into play.

Since Nomads are highly individualistic and explorers like to do things their own way, they may cross over quite easily on those grounds. Then physically, they're likely to appear to be similar, since the archetypes for these two are heavily boned and heavily muscled (though the explorers have a much higher threshold for physical activity)  ;)

My twin 16 year-old sons are both type B, one very Explorer with some Nomad characteristics, the other strong Nomad with a few Gatherer characteristics.

They are both very strong after 3 years of fulltime Tae Kwon Do and working out at the gym. But I would have to say that while my Explorer son is quite strong willed and likes to do things his own way, my Nomad son has a very easy going personality and often goes along with anything offered or suggested to him. My Nomad son doesn't stand his ground well with his brother and would rather give him what he wants than argue or debate. This concerns me a bit as he is studying law enforcement and he's going to have to learn to be more assertive to be effective in that field of work. Perhaps time and maturity will change that.

Sometimes I wonder if one of their birthparents is/was type AB because my Nomad son is a lot like me and lacks that strong, dominant kind of personality that that type O's or Explorers tend to possess. Plus, if Dr. D said that Explorers resulted from the intertwining of the type A and O blood types, perhaps my sons also carry recessive O and A blood types. I find the topic very fascinating!

Your B sons could carry a recessive O, but cannot carry a recessive A since A is always dominant.

If a son had an A allele in addition to a B allele he would be AB instead of blood type B.

Easy E, it sounds very probable.  I think what the book and SWAMI has taught us is that were are all unique, 4 types isn't enough, and even 6 isn't.  But understanding the basics of all of them help us understand ourselves maybe a little better.  And where we best fit.
