Welcome!

Wheat, bread, pasta, corn, dairy, cabbage and pig products are not your friends  ;)

Exercise should be your middle name.

You are going to be amazed at the changes you will go through.  :)

Welcome mrsnelson, it's nice to meet you. I am 1 of 3-5% of the world's AB people. Yup, I am rare. Stick around a while. Don't do what I did. (See my numbered mistakes)
1. Losing your Login information and having to start all over again
2. Not sticking around long enough on the new Diet to see any changes (Be patient)
3. Not giving yourself (body) a chance to start healing
4. Becoming impatient because you are gaining and not losing losing weight (Which eventually will happen if you are patient)

A wise person told me once that I didn't get this way overnight and that I should not expect it to be gone overnight.  :)

Daily headaches and 1-2 per month migrains all of my life simply STOPPED within the first few months of eliminating the worst food offenders.

Everyone is at least little different, so go all in and be patient.

When I first stopped ingesting corn, it took three weeks for the headache to stop...  Keep at it!

Make sure you drink enough water, it helped me a lot with clearing sinus congestion.  Try two glasses first thing in the morning. Some people have found that adding the juice of half a lemon and a dash of salt to the water have helped speed up the cleansing. Then during the day between meals drink a glass of water with a dash of salt.

There is a formula to help you know how much water to drink each day.
Your weight in pounds divided by two = the number of ounces each day.
So if you weigh 100 pounds, that means you should be drinking 50 ounces a day.
To help you keep track as the day goes by, start with a pitcher full in the morning with your daily amount and use from that. At the end of the day the pitcher should be empty. I let the pitcher sit out because my body seems to like room temperature water.

Good luck on this new journey!

I am drinking about a liter and a half a day and always hoping to do more.  I put salt in my water as soon as I read your post :) Thank you so much!

I hope you are using sea salt and not table salt. I should have clarified that in my post. Sea salt, along with the sodium, also has trace minerals which will benefit you.

Yes sea salt :)

Hi Motzi, du kannst ja deinen eigen Thread haben
Hi Motzi, You can have your own thread. You don't have go into another persons although there's nothing wrong with but it's easier to keep up with your own name as the person who started it. For you and for us who follow you.
Where in Germany are you from? I was born and raised im Harzgebirge.

Oh, I just noticed that you are not having your blood type displayed. You can do that in the Member Center. Go to the Profile and into avatar settings and choose Blood Type O. That way other Os can find you as you grow in beauty and wisdom.

Wonderful, welcome to the board. We are glad you found us. Another carnivore. Have you read any of Doctor D's Book Motzi?
I hope you will not be offended if I chuckle. Your name is quite unusual. In my faith saying "motzi" means the blessing over bread or a meal. It's just a very unusual name.
There are bunches of O's out on the board since O is the most common Blood Type.

Hihi, Motzi is my nickname and has something to do with my family name.
And yessss, I read 4 books of doctor D and it felt like open my eyes.
Funny also because I had been a vegan and yogi for 20 years and now I am a cavewoman *lol*

What Blood types are the other members of your family? Are they also O's?
Look at the top and see if you have a Private Message in your Inbox. If so, click on the link that says Private Message. I wish I would be able to come and visit Germany again, but we are rather poor. But it is alright. G-D helps us with our struggles

Oh, that would be very nice. How long have you been away?

I don't know my family members blood types, I'm sorry. There are sitting on the sunny side of cloud no 9  ;)

For myself it's feeling very good, taken away my yogini halo.

PS: And a big "Hallo" to Mrs. Nelsen....

It's sad, but all of my family doesn't want anything to do with me. Same for my daughter in The Netherlands. I left Germany when I was 20 and moved to The Netherlands and became Dutch, and when my EX divorced me, I cam back to Germany, but not Home. I got there later when my Ex abandoned me with a place to stay of my own and without money. I followed him to the USA 3.5 months later and that was September 29th 1979. I have not been back since. Somebody once gave me $2000 to go back to my family to visit but my husband would not hear of it and used the money to pay off some bills. So I will have been here on the 29th 33 years. If I could get enough money together I might even consider going back to Germany. But Germany will not let anybody "immigrate" since I am now American since 2004, without a job offer and a place to stay. Since my family really doesn't want me, I could never hope to make it there. And my husband is retired and self-employed he only has about $600 a month in income, which is at today's exchange rate 477.66 Euros I don't even know if they would let me back. Maybe I could call the German Consulate and ask.

You really have a heavy fate.
Maybe it's better and easier to stay in Texas because it's very difficult getting jobs in Germany at the moment. The rate of jobless persons are very high and if you will be lucky getting a job, the contract is often limited for only one year.

Welcome to Mrs. Nelson, Motzi, and Prunella! :)

As was mentioned before, patience and commitment are essential! I strongly suggest the lemon water each morning before eating for all who suffer from any type of sinus issue or overload of mucus  :P( like many of us "A's".) I prefer mine in cool water, no salt.
I came to the BTD for help with my sinus problems and ended up, surprisingly, losing weight after 3 months of adherence. I needed to lose some but this was just a nice bonus! I also noticed a general "feeling healthier" as I tried the Genotype diet, then eventually my SWAMI. ;)

Congrats to all newcomers....You will see benefits! ;)

Hallo Prunella and welcome  :)

Cajun, I like drinking lemon scented water during the day. Only drinking water is a little bit boring.
I'm interesting in Genotype or SWAMI but the book isn't translated in my language yet.
So it makes a little bit difficult for me to read *sigh*

For everyone a nice day or evening.

Did you find that it took 3 months for your body to adjust and begin losing weight or did you start losing right away?
