Hi everyone!  
          My O-nonnie daughter has lots of inflammation in upper and on sides of her back. I myself have some inflammation in my back.  I take cayenne pepper caps. during meals which
has solved my inflammation problems.  I am a secr..  I was wondering if any nonnies had in-
flammation problems and what they took to solve their problem?  Such as 5-htp, deflect, ginger root, joshua tree or glucosamine sulfate?  I'd appreciate any response

I believe if i remember correctly (been a while since i was on the basic BTD) that bromelain is good for inflammation in O-nonnies.  I'm not sure if turmeric is ok for O-nonnies, i've been taking it lately for pain in my foot.   ;)

I guess I would have to ask what detail do you have about how long the inflammation has been there, how long she has been following the diet with high compliance, if you have any idea about the cause, etc...

The diets are inflammation reducing by design, so by eating a "highly beneficial" diet, she should be able to reduce the problem.  It may take some time to get everything under control, though as the body heals based on the priorities it sets...

I echo the point about the BTD being an extremely anti-inflammatory diet, so it is perfect for her.  I also echo the sentiment that compliance is key for an O trying to reduce inflammation.  In my opinion, it is particularly important for her (especially since she's not just an O, but a nonnie ta boot) to completely eliminate all wheat products from her diet.  This does require a learning curve to recognize what ingredients are "wheat" and to understand the importance of reading the fine print ingredients list every time you buy a food.  But once you learn and understand it, you have it.  If she cuts all wheat out of her diet, it will go a long, long way.  If she already has done so, GREAT and three cheers for her.

btw, since she has inflammatory issues and is an O nonnie, imho, cutting out wheat should mean cutting out spelt as well. Basically, her grain choices should be brown rice (I prefer brown basmati, to be exact, but any brown rice) and quinoa.  I can get away with eatng some 100% rye, but I know other O's who cannot, including one O secretor (not even a nonnie) who has fibromyalgia and cannot go near rye (hi, Brighid!   ;D).  So, basically, have her stick to brown rice for her grain, if possible.  Best of luck to her!

Turmeric is very ok for this nonnie and generally tolerated by nonnies.

You should try looking at the Blood Type Encyclopedia it answers many question like this one.

Big gums inflammations every time i eat bananas for exemple.
Why my gums don't tolerate bananas, i love them !!!

Anyone who swallows 'normal' foods will have that/ not only in the back but swollen fingers and feet, and more as age comes into play. The answer BTD , GENO, Swami.. full Beneficial compliance is a must for the rest of life....

I have tried any number of supps but have seldom found one that works.. I was lucky with getting rid of pain with Manganese.. but I needed way more than listed, and I needed it for years..or the pain would come back..  FOR ME BTD is the answer..

I took 5HTP for emotional weakness, needing to stand up to===.. and getting my self confidence back.. worked great.. and soon enough - 10 days-.

NONSecretor-) here I also find that products such as Skincare topically that have avoid ingredients in them also effect inflammation on a large scale. this could also include body wash, shampoos, face and body creams   I am finding wheat and corn based product
:K)   I work in Skincare and this is a issue for me!  of course label reading is an absolute ~
