Hello everyone,

I know that type o should eat 3-5 ounces of red meat a day . How much fish and chicken should type O eat a day?!

In another words:  for example
Monday : lunch 4 ounces of red meat + greens
Dinner: how much chicken or fish I am supposed to eat  in the same day that I already ate red meat?

Thank you very much ;)

I eat no chicken..

I eat as much meat as I wish, within reasons.  If I where to eat fish I would eat as much as I wished as well, same with turkey or eggs.

It is not the amount alone that matters, it is that you would eat the protein you need all day to sustain your energy needs.

It is not healthy for O's to restrict protein intake.. we can do without all the grains and starches instead.. leave that for other types..  ;D

A man might need twice the amount of a palm size protein source, and a teenager / gymnast may need the same, while a person sitting all day needs about one palm size protein food three times a day.

I have seen a skinny man eat three plates loaded to the top for dinner or lunch, enough food to feed a family of 4.  I wonder what he would do with only 4 oz of meat?

At first I ate endless meat.. 10 to 16 oz. It kept me from eating other (avoid) foods..  then with ageing,  little by little I cut down to today 3-4 oz.. as I got healthier in mind and body it workes for me.

It depends on the individual. A 6 foot tall, 210 pound man will need a larger portion of meat than a 5 foot tall, 100 pound woman. Even at the same size and weight, some individuals need larger portions of animal protein and others need more vegetable proteins. The ratios of fish/poultry/red meat will vary from one person to another.

A good general rule is that a portion size of animal protein should be about the size of the palm of your hand. Type O's generally need 2 or 3 portions of animal protein per day; one protein serving with each meal, although one meal might be egg, dairy, or vegetable protein. Many will have a smaller portion of protein with breakfast (or, alternatively, eat a large breakfast and eat the smaller protein portion with lunch or dinner.)

We're all individuals, and it may take some trial and error to figure out what works best for you. After eating meat at lunch, you should still have fish or poultry with dinner.

Red Meats: Portion size: About the size of your hand (4-6 ounces), Frequency: 3-5 times weekly.

Poultry:  Portion size 4-6 ounces, Frequency: 2-4 times weekly.

Fish and Seafood:  Portion size: 4-6 ounces, Frequency: At least 4 times weekly.

Like everyone has mentioned, we are all different, but I think a balanced diet with protein at every meal is the recommendation. Just because you had red meat at lunch does not mean you skip your protein at night.
