I'm running around crazy and laughing......

I've just Swami-ed with the help of a friend.

Now a couple weeks ago I got rid of tomato and my deodorant worked better; now tomoato is a superfood on my list! RRRRrrrr....tomato.....

Same thing for Trout a few weeks back: I love it dearly and its crispy skin, but when I ate it at night when I was emotionally stressed out (im not supposed to eat at night anyway) the amount of fat it rendered left me with so much heartburn that i actually had to throw up. (my liver couldn't take it).

Do I just follow my new Swami and make all the other adjustments so that tomato and trout don't give me the same grief as superfoods? I guess the adjustments are subtle but important?

If it was me & I reacted to tomato (or anything else), I would avoid it at least until I had healed more.. ;) Are they generally organic tomatoes btw? Can often make a difference to some people as to whether a reaction occurs or not... :-/

You might want to limit these two foods some during the transition period...  It may have been some combination of the foods and stresses, etc., that caused the problems...

You also should do something to alleviate stress before eating...  It is really hard to digest anything when really stressed.

I never bought organic tomatoes or trout. That is indeed food for thought. Perhaps switch to Sea Trout or double check that Trout is not from a farm.

And perhaps I should remove the skin of the fish and just steam the fillets. Perhaps its the carmelization of the baked skin that is causing the reaction to an end-glycolic product..... If I were a bear, I should prefer trout to salmon for putting on winter fat, though  :) ha ha

then introduce those you mentioned above slowly and be surprised

You may have had trouble from the trout simply because you ate it too late at night and/or because you ate it while stressed. You may have had the exact same reaction to eating another animal protien (one you know you tolerate) under those same conditions.

Still, you get tons of superfoods on SWAMI. It really is OK if you omit two of them and just focus on the others. There are a lot of superfoods I never eat because I can't find them locally at a reasonable price.

I do this too, but one time might not mean anything.  And plus like you say, maybe it was the way it was prepared.  Or it was just that certain trout.  Who knows.  But one time isn't telling.  IMHO.  Now, if it's persistent after 2 or 3 times, then, I'd call that a scientific discovery.

However, if I threw up from eating something, I would totally be gunshy to try it again.  So.....  I know how you feel.  In fact, I tried some other brand of oats the other night about two weeks ago and it just didn't feel right and made me feel kind of strange.  A little inflamed maybe?  And I've been not wanting to try it again.  Hehehhehehehehe.  So, I'm all for telling you what is scientific and proper, but I'm not wanting to follow those same laws myself.  I have done it other times, but a lot of times if I feel lousy with something, I avoid it.  I have to get over that too, because sometimes our bodies just get goofy and it's not always the food.  I think that is one thing a lot of us on here do, and I don't think it's always wise.  That is: blame food for everything negative.

If you think the fish skin is too fatty, cook the fish as you normally do and before eating it, remove and discard the skin.  Just another idea.  ;)

I have probably added parmesan too soon but now not sure how I could eat less of having been on boring O diet for so long.
