Wow! Take a look at these two beautiful cookbooks from Nigel Slater, especially (but not exclusively) if you grow your own foods:

Ripe: A Cook in the Orchard http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/dailydish/2012/04/new-cookbook-ripe-a-cook-in-the-orchard-by-nigel-slater.html
This cookbook contains more than 300 recipes.

Tender: A Cook and His Vegetable Patch http://britishfood.about.com/od/bookreviews/gr/nigelslatertender.htm
This cookbook contains over 400 recipes.

An Englishman grows his own produce. Beautiful pix. Lovely language. Important tips. Really gorgeous. Available in Hardcover or for Kindle.

Wish I had and Orchard, the Tender sounds like a fun read as well, have you these books??
Wish I had a Kindle. I've marked it maybe later this summer or next fall.

Thanks, I'll look these over next time I'm loafing at Barnes & Nobles. I do have to be carefull what the recipes are about and if I can grow or get the ingredients locally.

I prefer actual books, but you can download ebooks directly to your computer at Amazon.

You'll find these inspiring, for sure.
You can, to an extent, "Look Inside" at Amazon.
Ripe was only just released a week ago - its US version, that is.
