       When you ascertain your genotype diet, do you integrate it with your ER4YT diet or just replace the ER4YT diet?

you follow the GTD book lists, unless you wish to kick it up a notch and get swami that will also compute your genotype

Each diet plan has a different focus, so stay focused on the one you have chosen to follow.  :)

I moved from one to the other, they all have some advantage.. some caused constipation, some I liked better, I liked them all.

I see BTD as dealing with the past .. the Geno is dealing with the long health 'future'.

You need to pick one diet and stick with it. I tried to merge the two myself, but it was a lot of work and I ended up with a diet that picked my favorite foods from both plans, rather than the foods that were healthiest for me.

I now have SWAMI- a personalized, computer-generate diet just for me! The software was written by Dr Peter D'Adamo, the same guy who wrote the Blood Type Diet and Genotype Diet books. This computer program takes my data (the measurements used to calculate my genotype, plus family and personal medical history) and computes a diet using all these different variables.

So, you basically have three choices: the blood type diet, the genotype diet, or SWAMI. SWAMI is "the best" but it's also more expensive. Many people do very well on BTD or GTD "by the book" and you may want to start with that. Or, you may prefer to invest the money now and not keep changing your diet numerous times.

I followed bt for a lot of years but have found the gt food list to be more specific and better tailored for me- explains certain foods on bt that never worked for me like apples.
