Seems like I keep having ailments lately. Last night before bed my eye started hurting like someone had punched me in the bone. I woke up this morning with a dull headache in the left side of my head and my eye hurting the same. I get a stabbing pain when I blink and it looks like my lower lid is red and swolen. I thought maybe there was an eyelash in there but I can't find one. Maybe I ate something I'm allergic to? I tried a few new foods yesterday. Made some sardines into patties. I also made a cherry all fruit dressing to go on my salad. I don't have any known allergies and that includes pollen and things like that. I did take some ibuprofen and put some eyedrops in and it seems to have helped a bit.

Could be anything Rachel, but the cherry fruit dressing could be an indicator of a blood sugar issue or sugar rush to the head re the headache. perhaps general detox.

did you have a grain and sugar an hour before a cold drink by any chance?

I avoid ibuprofen and eye drops.

if you need an eye wash, organic sea-salt dissolved in distilled water. mat sure it is weak enough to dissolve and it will sting, just like swimming in the sea. but will clear most things, do it every few hours initially. use a dropper - It's easier to tilt your head back aim the dropper above your eye, close you eye, drop on the closed eye a few drops and then open you eye/

Just something to watch for (and only a suggestion) I had the exact same thing happen and then it progressed to shingles for me. I find the eye a very sensitive area and you feel so much more than what is presented. At this point though, I would bet it is a sty. Just "ice" with a cold compress or very cold wash towel. I thought I had poison ivy at first but then the spots progressed over a nerve line.

I did have some rice as well and a piece of dark chocolate. I drink cold water all the time too.

I was thinking stye too. I hope its not shingles. I've seen on others how bad those can be. I've had pinkeye before but I can tell this is different

Alternate nostril breathing. Don't worry about the eye unless it keeps happening.

DoS are you thinking I'm stressed or clogged up? I do have nose problems frequently. I like alternate nostril breathing its very relaxing

Sinus infection???  The bone hurting might be a sign.

You are less than a week into eating for your bloodtype. I don't think anything of your current bodily reactions. The only thing that seems obvious is stress. You intestinal ecosystem is about to totally redefine itself. When it does your sinus issues will probably be over.

I think it is related to something that is going around.  I had it.  My husband had it.  And other people I've talked to have had the same symptoms you mention including the eye irritation that you think is an eyelash, or a gritty irritated feeling in the eye, and also gooey, crusty eyes upon awakening in the morning.  DH's skin around his eyes was all red and scary looking.  Mine were not quite as bad.  I'm pretty sure it is sinus related.  It will pass.  I'm not sure what to do about it, except avoid ANYTHING that would further irritate your sinuses (wheat, dairy,etc.).  You have my sympathy.  :(

I ditto this...  Keep eating your beneficial and neutral foods.  There will be detox symptoms like these as the intestines heal and the intestinal flora readjusts for your type...

My husband and I both had the SAME symptoms as you Rachel D (he is Type A and I am Type O):  pain in the eye socket and in the same side of the face going up the head; itchy eye that felt like it had been scratched or irritated, or as if an eyelash were in the eye; redness around the lids.  Have you noticed that your eyes are crusty when you wake up in the morning?  It seems significant to me that these very same specific symptoms should be showing up in people in different places.

Are Virginia & Indiana any where near each other? Not time to check in an atlas... Was wondering, could it be caused by arial spray drift?

No, they are not near each other.  Well, there are two other states between us.

My mother in law thinks it is a sty and that seems like it makes sense to me. I'm amazed at the detoxing I'm getting already.

It doesn't take long for the body to start cleaning and healing.  I can imagine that someone who is pretty healthy could do a lot of healing in a hurry.

I'm glad you did at your age.  It should save you many years of not feeling your best.
