I saw this in todays paper and thought I would pass it on. I'll list it as is first then try some tweaks.

Pecan Quinoa Breakfast Bowl

2 cups of milk
1 cup quinoa
1/3 cup dried cranberries or raisens
1 tablespoon of butter
1/3 cup chopped toasted pecans
1 tablespoon of honey or brown sugar
1/4 tablespoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg

Bring the milk to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir in quinoa, cranberries, and butter. Cover, reduce heat and simmer about 15 minutes till quinoa is tender. Remove from heat and stir in pecans honey, salt cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Tweaks? Well for the nodairy people, maybe almond milk. For B's goat milk would be nice. Maybe ginger in place of cinnamon but cinnamon is only a black dot for Nomads. Of course ghee instead of butter for most genotypes.

Tweak away!

4 according to the paper. I've been eating a lot of quinoa lately, usually cooked with onion, veggie broth, red pepper, salt, and sharp cheese. Sometimes with availible meat stirred in and sometimes without. I saw this and thought it was classic B, allmost Nomad if it wasn't for that reclass on milk. Still nothing is perfect but this comes close.

This sounds really good, I will have to try. I have also been eating a lot of quiona in place of rice.
Thanks

Without the milk and quinoa, that'd also be a great toasted ("crumble") sort of topping for pudding, pie, fruit.
