As Vladimir Lenin quipped, ‘Quantity has a quality all of its own.’

Although participating in these types of discussions is much like shoveling the stables of King Augeas, it made me think about how flippant we can be with our words and deeds and how much truth gets locked away in a vault of our own mind, simply because, as F. Scott Fitzgerald famously alluded, we failed the test of having the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.

One thing I’ve noticed about my work with blood groups, which has done much to convince me that it is truly valuable, is that the fact that it seems to make a considerable number of conventional and alternative practitioners equally apoplectic.

Recently, on a Facebook group that I belong to, a participant asked the other members what they ‘thought about the Blood Type Diet’. I was surprised by the intellectual horizon of many of the responders. It seemed that the practitioners who were skeptical of the theory had tried it once for a while, or had known or heard of of someone who had tried it unsuccessfully, and did not support its use for these or similar other reasons.

Come on, Dr. D, you can do better than this.   :-/

It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it.

Loved the other quotes posted here, and I liked this one very much too. This non-secretor knows not what the future holds, but I have been very fortunate indeed in "beating the odds" of what is supposed to be the "natural" state of a non-secretor! D'you think it might have something to do with trying to adhere to good health practices for the last fifty plus years?! I don't know, but I feel very, very fortunate.

This is one of the quirks he has that endears him to more than one of his "followers!" Don't sweat it! (smile)

Hey, thanks. It's really the nature of the text editor in there, which is not as sophisticated as a normal word processor. And my own lousy typing skills.

I used to get upset with the closed minded people who rejected the BTD without having actually followed it to see if it worked - and even more upset with people who said things like, "that's a bad diet -- it won't let me have my glass of brandy every night......."  (really!)

Now, I follow my food plan and will explain about how it works to anyone who is actually interested but I've learned to chill out a bit on attempting to gain converts as I was doing in the past.

I do not have the ability to keep turning the other cheek (ran out of cheeks!) that you have Dr. D!   And thank goodness for you, in that respect and all others........ :K)
