What is the difference between bladderwrack "thallus" and bladderwrack "fucus vesiculosis"? Is one better than the other as far as absorption & nutritional benefit is concerned?

Thallus is a more general term that includes all varieties of fucus, including fucus vesiculosis.
Fucus vesiculosis is specifically recommended so I would use that rather than a variety less closely related.
For example, both orange and grapefruit are citrus. Citrus is the same level as thallus.

Thanks Lola. The article that you attached is so informative. I love learning about the reasoning behind Dr. D's recommendations. I do take Deflect O & Polyvite O, both of which have in their list of ingredients fucus vesiculosis in the proper amounts. I know that taking these supplements has resulted in helping me maintain my body in a very healthy state. I'll be 73 in March & still going strong thanks to what I have learned on this Forum.
