Under the genoharmonic foods section of swami, it tells me that both endive and hearts of palm can be combined with other foods, such as bok choy, to give the best results. This confuses me because all of these foods are listed as "neutrals" and not "superfoods". Do they become superfoods when combined, and are otherwise neutral?

It seems to enhance them for the purpose of the combination. (in my case detox) or perhaps it enhances the super food for the designated purpose.

Enhancing Cellular Detoxification

Geno Harmonic Foods are unique combinations of certain foods which SWAMI GenoType has determined will yield the maximum epigenetic enhancement. I think of the genoharmonic combinations as being "super duper foods"; even more healing than the diamond foods are.

Many of my GH combinations often list a superfood combined with a neutral....and neutrals wouldn't be considered powerful healers as a food group all by themselves.  Once mixed with a specific beneficial food these neutrals now become what Ruthie described as "super duper foods"...Using GH combinations is a way to get more healing mileage out of many otherwise neutral foods....ie, derive maximum epigenetic enhancement.

Most of my five star geno harmonics are fish (8 in fact) my favourite food... my body must know how i feel with a fish and berries or sharp cheese combo!!!  I love my swami choices :)

I guess I am the opposite! As akid I detested fish, now I like certain kinds, and have toforce myself to eat it regularly., I guess it doesn't help that we have no fish market in our town, except what is at the fish counter at the grocery store, so most of the fish we eat is frozen or canned. Oh well, I do what I can, and seem to be doing fairly well in spite of this.

This might be a new thread, but I need to clear up a bit of confusion. In my Swami, it states that malanga,  tannier, and xanthosoma are the same thing and are superfoods. It then has taro, dasheen, and poi  under avoids that are capitalized ( in other words they can be introduced after 6 months avoidance).In Wikipedia,  malanga and taro are the same thing, and all are in the "araceae" family. I have just found Malanga root in my local fruit and vegie store, and LOVE it. Has anyone else tried this, and should I be eating it or not? It does say that there are many common names for this root. So, should I be concerned about this?

I have doubts about using only Wikipedia as a source of information.  Try to find an agricultural cooperative extension service to clarify for you. :)

All entries are capitalized...  The ones in the toxin column with the black dot in parenthesis following the entry may be reintroduced after the "washout" period...

Internal to SWAMI these foods have significantly different values associated with them. The foods will rate differently for many people.

I consider Malanage to be Xanthosoma sagittifolium

I consider Taro to be Caladium, Colocasia


I rarely eat the roots, but I like the stems and leaves.
I use the rating for "Taro Leaves, Shoots" to determine the rating for these



When eating any of these foods be sure it is prepared in such a way that it is fully cooked.

On the wallet cards ALL CAPS indicates black dot foods.

My foods would be with fish which I don't like.. so, could I exchange the foods with meat?  ??)

I have not done this so so far, but getting LOL"super duper food'LOL effects might be INTERESTING!! Good name.. those food combos could be a whole new experience. ...one at a time, each for different effects, mental or physical.

Well, I WAS looking at the wallet cards when I looked at this info.about malanga and taro. I guess I will look further and look at latin names to be sure.

And Goldie, I would like to replace fish with meat. But I try not to! I HATED fish as a kid. Sardines in a can almost make me gag. I did try heating hem briefly in a frying pan, adding nothing to the pan, It make them less slimey. It is a n ongoing challenge for me.

forget it .. fish I can only tolerate whit tuna in a can with mayo.. on avoid.. so no thanks..so, :o I am doing my bid not to deplete the oceans of fish...  :P

The idea of combining such Geno harmonic's with meat might still be better than ignoring the whole section, as I have done so far.

I went into my Swami program and changed one small item. I also asked the program to choose with regard to geno harmonic (sorry, not there now, can't remember the question, but it was one to do with methylation etc which I had previously chosen myself), and came up with quite a new set of geno-harmonic foods (including chocolate which I saw on the news yesterday as being a newly discovered positive for good BMI!!!)
So now I will really try geno-harmonics since I have been doing the Swami food list rigorously for quite some time. What fun!( But I have to find unsweetened blackberry juice as I simply don't use sugar).

There is a question to determine what genoharmonic combinations you want.  You might want to run SWAMI with each setting and save the results so you can see which set of combos you want to use; or mix and match combos to get multiple benefits...

That is a fantastic idea, I will definately try that & use a few for different benefits, print out one for each of us & put on the fridge!!!!! ... love it, thanks  :)

Yum.  :) I'm checking out recipes to make nut clusters with geno harmonic foods. When I figure it out, I'll start a new thread.
