wheat for Os and red meat for As (in a Dr.D post in the old archives I remember)  are the culprits or the catalyzers of these issues. The celiac As can have however issues also in the mental health from wheat and gluten. Through leaky gut from food intolerances these lectines and allergenic chemicals become like drugs,  opiates in the brain.  Soy, corn, milk and dairy,  shellfish and so on.
Just a spartan self control not up to date with today world  can keep in check these issues and it may not for the worst cases without a diet avoiding the avoids and promoting  gut health, but as you know many cannot understand and many cannot change neither their diet ...

I don't know if this is pertinent but I'll share anyway.  Before BTD, meds didn't help my depression very much.  I quit meds for a couple years and found BTD during that period.  After some time on BTD I went back to the meds and found them much more effective than before.

I am dealing with two similar possibly worse cases.

change to BT diet of course and most of the following then apply anyway but specifically

obvious stuff like aspartame, casein free wheat free. since this helps epilepsy must have an effect - and does. see epilepsy thread I started recently.

coffee to green teas - stop trans fats. add dha. omega3 flax or other oil, eggs, exercise, walking in green area in recent study was very positive, breathing excessive also.

drugs cause obesity, so also diabetes and so on. so then candida, need sorted. then good range of Dr D's supps to crack the small print.

i'll email you a good e book
