Eryhtema nodosum is the inflammation of the fat cells in your skin due to a overreaction of your immune system.
It's quite sore  :-/

My immune system is very trigger happy it seems.

For the first time in 13 years I am totally off the steroids and asacolon- a mesasalazine medication!
I had been taking these for Ulcerative Colitis.

So, now that my body is not inflaming my colon anymore (yey!!) it first inflamed all my little tendons and ligaments in my hands and feet. And now that that is 80% gone it found some skin to inflame!

Traditional 'cure' is taking the above mentioned drugs again- not an option!! I am glad to be rid of them!!

So, any ideas?

I am following the anti inflammation protocol to some extend- I cannot afford to get all recommended supplements.
Compliancy with the diet probably 96%-98%

Thanks guys!

That's great that you are off the meds.  Good for you!  :)  I'm not an expert, but I think you are doing the best thing you can do, being as absolutely compliant as possible.  Don't forget to eat as many of your superfoods/beneficials as possible, and don't just avoid the "avoids".

Here is a list of "top ten anti-inflammatory foods" that might be useful, if you are not already eating these.

I've read Licorice Tea is also anti-inflammatory.
