BTD Forums  /  Journal Club and Literature Review  /  Brain Influenced By Gut Bacteria

I was reading on Popular Science magazine about a study in Ireland and while not blood type specific non the less interesting in that researchers there fed mice a bacteria strain called Lactobacillus Rhamnosus which had a positive effect on them showing less levels of depression and anxiety as it influenced the production of the neurotransmitter called GABA.

So i got to pondering about that if Rhamnosus is good for anxiety (at least in mice) then it may be good for us type-o's who suffer higher levels of anxiety and so i checked out all the blood type Polyflora formulas to see what kind of strains are in them and to my surprise (then again not really surprised) only the type-o Polyflora has this strain in it as apparently Dr.D knew about this strain's benefit for anxiety type-o's before these scientists did in this magazine article  ;D.
