Question: How do you know if you may or may not have it? How can you diagnose it in others? Is it heriditary?

And, how do you prevent it?

How do you deal with it? How do you tell others you have it?

The criteria for diagnosis are listed in the DSM-IV.  You can have a neurologist, or a mental health professional do the diagnosis.
