In an attempt to lower my cortisol levels, I bought some chamomile tea today.  Before opening it I wanted to make sure it is not an avoid for me, but I can't find it in the TYPEbase.  Anyone have any info on chamomile?  Thanks!

swami varies for everyone, but chamomile is a neutral for me

Its a neutral on my swami. I like to drink a small cup before going to bed as it helps with sleep. :)

Hi everyone!  Thanks for your help.  How important is it to follow the Swami diet?  I'm new to the BTD and don't even know my secretor status yet.  Do you think knowing your blood type and secretor status is sufficient enough?  I already find all of this a bit confusing, so I don't even want to try to worry about what in the world a Swami diet is.  :-/

For many people the BTD is all they need. Just doing BTD can be of tremendous benefit even without secretor status.

Getting your secretor status fine tunes things. At some point you might want to look into SWAMI. SWAMI is the 'state of the art in fine tuned diet'.

Think about what else you can do.

Certainly the BTDs are wonderful but moving right to a SWAMI might is less confusing in the long run. I know I have to carry my list around with me even after all these years cause it has changed over the years, if I had SWAMI long ago I wouldn't get so confused. For the price of $70.00 you get a lifetime diet/food plan.

I vote for SWAMI.

Have you looked at Holy Basil (Tulsi)? Dr. D mentions it in the Encyclopedia for A's. Works awesome for me.

When do you take Cortiguard?  First thing in the morning?  At night?  With food? For a short time? Continually?   I never know about these things...I can go from feeling anxious to feeling utterly exhausted.... How can you tell if your cortisol is high vs. having weak adrenals?

I have found Chamomile to be very, very helpful for Blood Type A folks. Dr. D'Adamo recommends it highly for As with many health conditions, in his books that address specific ones. For some it is even "SuperBeneficial", so check them out. I have posted the details on this before, so a search should turn that up.

Chamomile is available as a tea (in bags, that is), as a loose herb, as well as in tinctures. I think A's could also do well bathing in it, i.e., steeping their bodies in a tub full of chamomile tea!

leeyah87 - If you're following the BTD for your Type A, chamomile is "highly beneficial". It's listed in the original ER4YT book on page 119 under herbal teas. Enjoy (woot)

Chamomile tea is a neutral on my swami but I have been drinking it since I started with BTD. It is great just before bedtime for a relaxing "fall to sleep!" ;)
