BTD Forums  /  Nonnie Clubhouse  /  Any A nonnies out there?

I am waiting for my GTD book&test kit but in the meantime I would like to hear from other A nonnies out there about their experiences. The only two A-nonnies I can find are SandrAruba and Ribbit. Is there anyone else out there? Are there so few of us? :)

My husband is A nonnie, but he doesn't follow BTD actively. He does only when I cook for him.

You may want to explore some of the other threads in the nonnie clubouse.

There are more than two A nonsecretors on the forums.

G'day and welcome Lizzie!

Now you know your status I'm sure you health is going to improve.  A few of us come to mind Captain Janeway, Heidi and there are heaps more just can't think of any right now!

You can always search by author to read more written by each person.

My experience has been really missing tomatoes and capsicum (bell peppers) when they were taken away following BTD secretor diet.  Was glad when I found out I was a nonnie as the foods I love came back to me. (dance) :) Also explained why I held onto wheat I think I'm allergic to it and it's the worse thing for me, no wonder it was so hard to give up!
Of course now the GTD and SWAMI some foods have changed and health is even better.  Also armed with so much knowledge of myself is so good to have.

A nonnies do well and when you know what you are, even better!

diet area.  Its at the top in the permanent file area

I am still waiting for my test results to come back. I'm a little concerned. Here in Canada, they only run this test once a month because they do not have enough to bother running it more. I am wondering if my sample is sitting around there for almost a month, will it still be as accurate? We wont know when they run it.

I am an A nonnie who has now been through all the genotype groups just about. With just the book I thought I was a teacher, then I got swamixpress and was a warrior, but I had miss measured and now I am a gather! I am learning alot!

If SWAMI Xpress is telling you that you are gatherer, you should check that you blood type is an "A" and not set to "O" or some other value.

If SWAMI tells you that you are a gatherer when  blood type is set to "A" and the setting for Genotype is for SWAMI to compute the best GenoType,

I would advise contacting bob at:

to verify the Gatherer is really the correct value for you.

I sure hope she s referring to the book calculators

use only the advanced calculator in the back of the book, knowing your BT and secretor status, it will be more targeted to pinpoint

Hello all A-Nons!

I'm coming up on a year on the BTD April 1st. I lost 20lbs+ within 2 months so excitedly I took the secretor test about 6 months ago and followed the nonnie foods.  It was hard to change my menu having grown trusting of the foods that aided the early weight loss though.

I looked into the GT diet last Fall but botched the finger measurements (I think).  The results said I was an Explorer, which flew in the face of what I had been eating.  I kinda lost interest in such another big diet change, figuring GTD was a c**p shoot.  This week I order the Swami kit and did the measurements "right" with Warrior as the result, which I believe is accurate.

I've been interested in finding the right supplements so that is why I tried Swami.  I'm glad to see the results weren't extremely different from just being an A-Nonnie.

I look forward to using this forum to help me be my best! Thanks
