His face is a little creepy (those eyes!), but I think it's a really fascinating face, a great one to paint or draw. Explorer? I don't know, maybe not. He might be his own archetype. :)

The pendulum swings both ways.. but some eventually learn and move on.. will Monsanto? maybe in the time it takes to have distroyed every last un-tampered with grain .. or when the new norm for kids is obesity at age 5 ??

I doubt it.. it takes decades (eons) to stop ignorance from being listened to.
