"In vitro screening of probiotics and synbiotics according to anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferative effects."

"We demonstrated that this decrease in proliferation may be due to an induction of a differentiated phenotype, as shown by the up-regulation of intestinal alkaline phosphatase, a biomarker of differentiation, monitored by real-time RT-PCR in HT-29 cells treated by the selected synbiotics."

Executive summary: we have to differentiate treatement according to the patient's natural IAP levels....

Quoted from paul clucas

But determining that level is actually impossible. As I understand it each infant is born with an intestinal tract free of microbes and accumulates its evental population from its enviornment. Under such conditions how can you determine "natural IAP levels"? As far as I can see the base norm is whatever happens to going on when you apply the test.

In this case the assumed base norm should be driven from the epigenetics, but the allopaths are not going to publicly say that this is what they are doing.

I laugh everytime nutritionists in books say excess meat can excrete calcium from bones...maybe so for A's but show me a north American O Indian bone before the advent of corn and you won't find any sign of osteoporosis...tall and strong. The benefits of high IAP

We need more education and debate in the public arena, Mike.  One of the respondents to the Victoria's Secret article talked about how blood type is mentioned in nutrition class (positively, as the writer was open to the BTD).

We might well be in a period of transition when the-powers-that-be are becoming more isolated in opposition to diets that are based on the BTD.  There was a lot of the usual negativity allied with poor explanation, poor spelling and poor grammar.

To people who can read between the lines, both the positive and negative slants on "diets based on the blood type diet" give a good reason to investigate further.  A man is known by his enemies.

...... as long as an artist (& Dr D)  is alive there are many enemies and then after .. the well wishers come out of the woodworks.. I am stunned how DrD keeps his cooooool.. and still stays here to pipe in every so often.. neutral, friendly, to the point of the day, and all the while thinking of how to IMPROVE our lives.. and our understanding of the machinations in and outside of his brain cells..  8)
