BTD Forums  /  Eat Right 4 Your Type  /  I Need a Type A Non-Secretor Food List
Posted by: 10979 (Guest), Tuesday, August 17, 2010, 7:16pm
I've been on the type A diet for over three months now and have lost a lot of weight.  A few weeks ago I purchased the secretor test kit and received the results yesterday.  I have scoured the web for Type A non-secretor food lists which are accurate finding only one from 2005.  I know the Dadamo site is the most accurate, up-to-date info available; but they do not provide a simple list of foods based on Type A Non secretor.  I would have to click every food item to compare it's value and make my own spreadsheet.  Surely someone out there will lend me their cheat sheet for free!  ;D

You could get a personalized one by doing Swami.   ;)

Welcome to the forum!!!

You can purchase an A secretor wallet card here: http://www.4yourtype.com/prodinfo.asp?number=ED022A

Please be aware that if somebody sends you their cheat sheet for free, it's a copyright violation. It's perfectly legal to spend the time on this website and make up your own spreadsheet (I did that to get a quick comparison chart for all of my family members) but it's not legal for me to share that with anybody.

Consider there are over 800 food types, 4 blood types, 2 secretor types and 6 GenoTypes.  A full spreadsheet, not including any Swami information, would be over 11,200 cells.  Got some spare time on your hands?   ??)

Welcome to the real world.  Your healthy grocery list would not be against the law unless you infringe on copyright.   :-/

If the blood type list you have is up to date and correct for 2005, very few changes have been made to the blood type lists since that time.

Most of the research today is focused on the development of GenoType and SWAMI diets. So the changes that occur primarily happen on those lists.

For my nonsecretor blood type lists, I still rely on Live Right for Your Type (2001). I use the typebase online to check for changes if there is a question about a blood type food value.

Live Right for Your Type is often available in public libraries.

The encyclopedia is 2002 and list nonsecretor values.

If you are treating a specific health condition, the lists in the health library series books can be helpful.

I made up a chart with O secretor, B secretor, and my SWAMI values, only including foods that are at least neutral for one of us (no time wasted typing up  foods that none of us can eat) and I didn't bother to put down the foods that, even though are neutral or better for some of us, we don't eat anyway. So it's maybe 400 foods, not 800, and 3 values, not 14.

It was time well spent because I can now look at that list and see which foods we can all eat, which helps with menu planning.

What I did before I got my SWAMI done was I typed up the list for O secretor (I also later found out I was a non-secretor) from Live Right 4 Your Type, but just the beneficials and avoids. If a food wasn't on that list, then I knew it was neutral. I later saw that SWAMI does the same thing for you, gives you a wallet list with beneficials and avoids. So maybe that would be easier for you?

If you take the trouble to type out your list, you may find that it helps you to remember the foods. Less looking at lists, less aggravation.  ;D

prior to getting several copies of swami for the family i did indeed list all the foods for all the type including noniies, the list was long and tooks weeks and the document takes about 10 min to flick from one page to another. so i would recommend it to anyone else.

buy one of the cards frm the shop - no brainier - but SWAMI is KING!

If done in a MS Excel format you can filter information and with a few strokes of the keyboard you can look up any food and compare BTD/GTD/Swami values quickly.  Are Hunters detail oriented?   ??) You are correct: Swami is King!

Agreed. If at all possible, you want to do your swami. I avoided wheat (bread being a favorite food) for YEARS because it is a no-no for As. Said to put weight on. My ND also wanted me to stay off it because of my eczema.

Finally I did my swami a few weeks ago and found that wheat is a superfood for me and sprouted wheat a diamond! Also, it told me to give up coffee, which is a beneficial for As, and viola', add in wheat and take out coffee and I am losing weight and my eczema is 90% better. In a few days time on the eczema!!! ;D

Swami asks you numerous questions, gets measurements and medical history from you and gives you your own individualized diet. Yay! ;D It's not free, but it works. ;D ;D ;D
